Yoongi struggled with his shopping basket as he hiked it onto the counter of the convenience store. It was quite heavy. As the clerk scanned each item, he looked everything over to be sure he had everything perfectly right.
Taehyung sent the soon-to-be father a list of cravings that Jimin has been having as of lately. Yoongi was shocked at the amount of foods on the list, but hasn't once complained, not even in his mind, about it. He may have picked up a couple extra things he knew Jimin has always liked, even if they're not on Taehyung's specific list.
He's known Jimin since they were five. He knows what snacks the boy likes.
Before taking his haul, the male checked the back side of each snack to ensure that every ingredient was safe for the pregnant male to consume.
He's been reading parenting books ever since the expecting news. Yoongi's even read a few that were specifically about the pregnancy stages. He really didn't want to mess this up.
With it being mid-March, it's still quite cold outside, so he zipped his jacket up, and grabbed his shopping bags, heading out to his car, after thanking the check-out lady.
This is the second time that he's purchased a snack haul for the mother of his child. Since the first time didn't go over too well and ended with Jimin vomiting from the strong smell of fish cakes that Yoongi had purchased, he's definitely nervous. He hoped things worked out better this time.
He's really trying to prove himself to Jimin. He wants to prove that he will be an excellent father and caregiver to their child, and he also wants to earn the younger's trust. He missed their old friendship so much, that he's becoming desperate to be close to him once again.
There's also this ache in his chest every time he sees Jimin. It's always the worst when Seokjin is around. When he sees the open way Jin gets to look at the petite male, or the way Jimin laughs at all of the oldest's stupid jokes, it tears him apart.
What Jin had said at the school canteen that day has really bothered him. Were the two actually dating? They seem awfully close, but nothing in most of their interactions strikingly convey that they are, in fact, together. It would take a blind man, to not notice the loving gaze Seokjin always has for Jimin, but even then, the same love can be heard in his voice. Gosh, Yoongi wishes he could know Jimin's true feelings about it.
Yoongi parks his car in Taehyung and Jimin's apartment complex. He pulls down the sun visor to get a good look at himself, combing down a couple sporadic hairs that were sticking up. Once he thought he looked decent enough, he grabbed all of the bags out of the front seat, and made his way to their door, with a couple light knocks.
Taehyung opened the door, with his wide, rectangle smile. "Oh Jiminie, look! The delivery boy is here!" The pregnant male poked his head around the corner from the hallway bathroom with wide eyes before hiding back inside.
