It was Saturday morning and Taehyung was glad to have day off from classes. Sleep was one of his favorite things, so he was glad to be able to sleep in a little later on this beautiful morning. He walked down the hall toward the kitchen, his eyes squinted and light brown hair sticking up in all different directions. He scratched his stomach as he made his way to the refrigerator.
He found the almond milk and pulled his favorite Captain Crunch cereal out of the cupboard. As he was fixing up his bowl of cereal, he heard his small roomate tip-toe out of his bedroom. As he always did now first thing in the morning, Jimin went straight to the bathroom and shut the door quietly behind him. He must not have realized that Taehyung was already up.
After only a couple bites, Taehyung put his bowl down, leaving it on the counter. He serruptitiously crept over to the bathroom door, putting his ear up against the wood and cringing at what he could hear. Appetite gone.
Although Jimin had told his friend group that he had gone to the doctor and that he wasn't getting sick anymore, only Taehyung knew the truth. He hears Jimin almost every morning emptying his stomach in the toilet and he's fairly certain of the reason behind it.
Jimin hasn't been exactly great at hiding all of the evidence around the apartment. Taehyung found the box for the pregnancy test in the bathroom trash can a couple days after Jimin took it. He never did find the actual pee stick that contained the results, but he assumed that the smaller took it and hid it somewhere. Jimin also started buying a lot more groceries, stalking up their kitchen cabinets with an excessive amount of goodies, which was unusual for the older because he was always so strict with his diet.
It still wasn't enough evidence to conclude that Jimin was in fact with child, but the prenatal vitamins on his nightstand were dead giveaway.
It explained so much to Taehyung about his friend. This is why he's been so sick, so hungry, so exhausted, and so grouchy.
Plus, the older has distanced himself a great deal from the other and the thought breaks Taehyung's heart. He misses spending time with Jimin. They used to watch movies and TV series' on Netflix together, cuddled up on the couch. They would stay up late just to goof around with each other.
But lately, things have been different. Jimin just goes straight to his room after class or work and recluses, only coming out to grab a snack or use the restroom. He always seemed so hopeless, lonely, and sad.
Another thing that hurts Taehyung, is knowing that the older is trying to deal with this entirely on his own. He won't open up about it. Taehyung has been patient and hasn't pried, knowing that doing so usually just pisses him off, which gets him nowhere. The younger hoped that Jimin would eventually unfold everything, but he doesn't think he can be patient anymore.
As much as Jimin will try to deny it, he needs help. He doesn't need to carry all of this on his own.
So Taehyung makes the decision to finally speak up.
