It's been several weeks since Gunmin was born. Jimin cannot believe that his son is almost a month old and he hasn't gotten to take his precious baby boy home yet. It's been so hard on the new mom to know that Gunmin has spent his first month of life entirely in the hospital.

Jimin has been in rough shape. If he's being honest, he's been a little depressed. He knows that that's not what his baby needs from him right now, but it's just not fair! Why did this have to happen to his baby!?

He's continued to visit his son every day for the past month, visiting many couple hours at a time. He always puts on a brave face in front of his child, wanting to show how much he hopes and believes that he'll get stronger.

Gunmin is so much stronger, and that doctors believe that he should be able to come home fairly soon! He has gained some weight in the past month, and he hasn't needed a feeding tube for the past couple of weeks. He's breathing mostly on his own, but they want to be one-hundred percent sure before they release him from the NICU, so for now he's still under constant watch.

The first time Jimin was able to hold his tiny baby was such an emotional experience. When Gunmin was able to breathe without a tube, they offered the mother the opportunity to hold his son, which Jimin instantly agreed to oh so excitedly. The nurses actually recommended that Jimin should give his son skin to skin contact by holding the premature baby against his chest. Apparently, it releases hormones that help relieve stress and would be a great encourager for Gunmin.

Yoongi didn't get to make it to that appointment, but at the next one, the new dad was able to hold him too. That was the first time Yoongi had let himself fully break down since the day his son was born. He had been fighting to be so strong for Jimin, but once the tiny, blue blanket bundle was placed in his arms, he fully broke down. He looked down and saw how much healthier his son already appeared to be. His cheeks were full, and his face was more lively. He already looked so much like him. He's a mini Yoongi.

When visiting hours were over, and it was time for the young parents to leave, the nurses helped to take Gunmin out of Yoongi's arms, where the tiny baby cried at the top of his lungs for being removed from the comfort of his father's arms.

"See how much better his lungs are doing?" The nurse cooed. "He's so tiny but so loud!" she giggled. Jimin and Yoongi couldn't help but give proud smiles. Gunmin was getting better, which is all they have ever wanted.

But still, Jimin just wants his baby home.

Jimin has spent most of his time either at the hospital or sleeping at home. If Gunmin isn't here, than he doesn't want to be awake.

Of course, Taehyung is constantly checking in on the male. He tries to drag him out of the house, but it usually causes the new mom to get upset, which doesn't help anything. He's even invited their friend group over to the home to watch movies or play games to try and act as a distraction for Jimin, but he never ends up hanging out for very long. Something usually gets brought up that reminds him that his baby is still at the hospital fighting for his life, which ends up ruining the mood for everyone. But they are all extremely understanding and patient with Jimin.
