16/9/19- England

Lando woke me up with a soft kiss. He was leaving for Singapore today.

To say I was going to cry was an understatement, usually I'm fine with him leaving but due to the recent events I'm not sure how okay I'll be.

"Do you want breakfast?" I asked, springing out of bed.

"Mila, lie down. I made us breakfast in bed," Lando smiled softly.

"Aww that's cute Lando," I cooed, sitting up to kiss him. He left the room to grab the plates and came back in.

"Oh my god, you made the eggs the way I like them!" I shouted enthusiastically.

"Yeah, they're really hard to make but I tried," he smiled, rubbing the back of his neck.

"You did really well, don't worry."

We ate breakfast in silence.

Lando was the first to break it. Just to tell me what time he was leaving.

"I have to leave here at 11.00 so I can get to the airport in time," Lando told me. My mood instantly fell, I really didn't want him to leave.

The two hours spent between us before he had to leave was just cuddling. He hadn't even left yet and I was already missing him. I must seem so clingy sometimes, now I'm beginning to overthink.

"Emilia, you ok?" Lando asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. Are you leaving now?" I asked him.

"Unfortunately," he pouted.

"Stop being cute, I'll miss you even more," I cooed, kissing his cheek.

He was putting his shoes on when I began to cry.

"Lando, please don't go," I begged, my voice cracking. I knew it was pointless as it's his job but I couldn't help being worried for him.

"Emilia, you know I have to," he spoke, reading my mind. He took my hands in his, softly rubbing the back of my hand.

"I don't want you to be hurt, or... or anything else. I couldn't bear it," I cried.

"Please don't put me in this position, Mila," Lando begged, tears brimming in his eyes. I cried even harder when I noticed the tears, he pulled me in, wrapping his arms around my waist.

We shared a kiss, his palm cupping my cheek, wiping away the tears.

"I'll come home safe and sound. I promise," he said, a tear dripping onto my T-shirt.

I pulled away from him, stepping away as well, even more tears spilling.

"You can't promise me you will be okay, that's not fair Lando!" I shouted, pushing him away as he moved closer.

He edged over until I had backed into the door. He took my wrists as I tried to push him away again, lifting my right hand to kiss the back of it.

"I promise you I will be home safe and sound," Lando repeated, emphasising the word promise.

"You better be," I cried, giving him a stern look.

"I will," he smiled softly, kissing me.

"I'll see you soon," he said as he dragged his suitcase out the door.

"Bye, see you," I smiled sadly, waving as he left.
