Pearls and sapphire

Hinata woke up the next day, the birds chirping, as she pulled her body up, she saw her hands were intwined with a certain redhead boy, sleeping on the ground, his head resting on the side of the bed.
She remembered last night.
Sasuke came back for her, and she asked gaara to spend the night with her.
Her little movement, made the sand guy flinch a little then he opened his eyes.
He saw those pale orbs staring at him.
How he loved those pearls, how he loved her byakugan.
How he loved her! No words can describe such thing.
"Good morning gaara kun..." she smiled gently in the sweetest way.
"Good morning, hinata..." gaara said as he realized he was holding her hands. All of a sudden, he pulled them away and a tint of faint blush appeared upon his cheeks.
"Uh...i guess i'll be leaving..." gaara gulped as he stood up but was stopped when hinata held his hands.
"No please, stay and have breakfast with me.." she gave a gentle smile.
And by that gaara nodded, because he can't deny those angel eyes.
"Okay..go for your morning routine, while i prepare something for us" he smiled and by that he left.
Hinata got up and went into the shower.

"Pancakes with cinnamon and chocolate syrup, with pieces of Banana..." gaara flinched at the deep voice that came from the door.
He turned his head to see none other than uchiha sasuke, crossing his arms and looking as gaara prepared breakfast for him and hinata.
"W..what do you mean?" Gaara asked confused
"That whats hinata have for breakfast..." sasuke continued
Gaara eyes widened.
Was sasuke helping him out.
"And she doesn't drink coffee, she drinks tea with milk...milk more, and one sugar spoon..." sasuke continued.
"I..." gaara tried to retort when he saw the uchiha walking out of the door.
"Sasuke..." gaara said
Sasuke stopped without even turning.
"Arigato" he said
"Just, don't break her heart..or i'll break your neck..." sasuke said as he walked out of the house.

"Oh...what a sweet smell" hinata said as she sniffled the pancakes scent.
Gaara turned and saw hinata, wearing her mission attire, and her hair damp, the kitchen scent turned immediately to vanilla and berries.
Gaara could swear that such scent is intoxicating.
"Gaara kun? You alright..." hinata asked as she saw the redhead stare.
"Ah..." he snapped out of it.
She walked inside, and saw pancakes, tea with milk, she took a sip...
"Oh, thats great...how did you know i love tea with milk, you did it just like i love..exactly!" She smiled
"Ah..i guess i improvised..." gaara lied.
Hinata sniffled a little.
"Was sasuke kun here? I smell him..." she said
"Ah, he passed by but left..." gaara said.
"Hai...shall we eat..." hinata said as she sat down across from gaara and both started eating.
Gaara starred at how hinata ate, those little things he doesn't want to pass by.
She ate like a real royalty, she chewed slowly, ate a little, didn't open her mouth wide.
Despite that, she had an icing by her mouth.
Gaara leaned forward and touched the side of her mouth.
Hinata flinched.
"Ah..you..have an icing..." he said as he took away the icing and involuntary he licked it.
Hinata felt herself blush.
After they finished, gaara helped her with dishes.
How he felt so much familiar.
Gaara never knew his mother, but for the redhead sand guy, the hyuga always gave a vibe of mother's love.
Her gentleness since academy days.
Maybe she was the only one who was gentle and treated him right when everyone didn't.
After a while, a messenger came to the hyuga's door.
"I'll get that..." gaara said
"Hinata hyuga, we need her presence at the hokage's, as well as you Gaara san..." the messenger bowed then Left.
"Who was it..." hinata asked
"We are needed at the hokage's office"gaara said

"Ohayo..." the masked man greeted as hinata and gaara entered his office, there was sakura,naruto, sasuke and ino.
"Ohayo, hokage sama" gaara said
"Ohayo minna..." hinata greeted.
As she saw sakura and kakashi, she felt as if her heart is tearing.
She felt that she needed to run to kakashi, hurt him, or even cry inside his hug.
All these feelings are overwhelming.
Why didn't he call her and apologized.
What about what she done to him.
Is two years passing by that easy for him.
Was she so worthless to him.
Hinata decided to stay strong ,And she marched toward sasuke, she gave him a light side hug.
Sakura glared at them.
"I'll get straight to the point, team seven would go on a mission, and ino, hinata would come along..." kakashi said
"And i want to come as well" Gaara retorted.
"I guess you need to stay behind, gaara..." kakashi said
"I guess i have the desire to come and i will" gaara snorted at kakashi.
"Kakashi sensei, let gaara join...we will be needing him" naruto said
Kakashi sighed.
"Okay, fine.." kakashi said.
"We need to retrieve a scroll, tonight we shall meet at the gates, nine pm...you are all dismissed" kakashi said.
"Sakura, stay behind, we need to speak up about certain things..." kakashi said that, hinata gave a sarcastic grin and walked away.
While sasuke and Gaara both turned and gave kakashi a glare.

Hinata, ino, naruto, gaara and sasuke all walked down together.
Hinata could see that the blond naruto finally acknowledges his love and they could see the spark between the two blondies.
For hinata, she was more than happy for her best friend naruto.
All sat down.
"So...um..me and ino are..." naruto started
"Together...its too obvious naruto..next" sasuke said monotonous.
"Ah? How did you know..." naruto asked
"Only you are dense naruto" gaara said
Hinata and ino giggled
"So, hinata, would you like to escort me to  prepare food for us and prepare meals for the mission..." ino said
"Hai...,see you at yamanaka's house...in two hours" hinata said and both left.

"So...hinata..ne? Gaara" naruto snapped the redhead when he saw how gaara looked at hinata as she walked away.
He could swear that she moved like a wave.
"Uh..." gaara answered nervously.
"Its okay, don't be shy about it..hinata is one awesome person Gaara, and she is too good for anyone, she is literally angel..." naruto said
Gaara looked down then sighed
"She is..she is even too good for anyone.., i don't deserve her..none does" gaara said in sincere way
"Don't put yourself down, gaara, you can win her heart" naruto winked.
"Give me a second, i will go to the restroom.." naruto said as he walked away.
"Sasuke..." gaara said
"Hm?" Sasuke answered
"Do you think she 'll love someone like me?" Gaara asked
"Well, she loves someone like me..." sasuke retorted
Gaara's eyes widened.
"Hinata is a literal angel...gaara kun...and i myself, don't think she deserves anyone..because none deserve an angel like her" sasuke said
"Kakashi is such a fool" gaara retorted
"Hai" sasuke answered
"Sasuke...why...i mean, why are you always only comfortable when you are around her...i mean sakura chased you alot, why is hinata different" gaara cracked
"Same question goes to you..." sasuke said
Gaara flinched
Sasuke smirked then looked down, then up to the skies.
"Because, she reminds me of my mother, Mikoto..for her appearance and her gentleness...hinata gives the vibe of a mother, and forever, i'll love hinata no matter what..." sasuke said
"Do you love her? I mean, that kind of love?" Gaara asked.
"Hai, but i learned to let go...she'll never see me anything beyond her twin, and her brother, my love for her is complicated kind of love...and for i...loved saya, because she reminds me of hinata...my love for hinata shall never die..she is my sister, my twin, my mother, my best friend...but me and her...we can't go beyond that..." sasuke said
Gaara nodded.

"I know you are hurt, hinata..." ino retorted
"Its fine ino-chan...i..i'll manage" hinata answered
"I am sorry for that, i..i scolded sakura.." ino said
"Ino chan, you can't force someone to love you, and i can't change kakashi's feelings...he never loved me from the start...he loved rin, and then sakura...not me" hinata gave a pained smile and eyes full of tears.
"Gomenne hinata chan" sakura said
Hinata wiped her tears.
"So, you and naruto ah?" Hinata smiled
Ino flushed
"Hai..."ino answered
"But, gaara kun...how is that" ino said
"Gaara kun?" Hinata retorted.
"Haven't you seen how he looks at you?" Ino asked
Hinata gulped.
She shook her head
"He is definitely head over heels for you..." ino said
"Of course not, why would he love someone like me..." hinata said
"Because sasuke does...hinata..." ino said
"Eh..ehhhh????" Hinata squeaked.
Was it true? Gaara, the guy she came to like since academy days, the feeling she wanted to rescue him, be there for him and heal his lonely, traumatic nights...maybe!
It was nothing than a mere crush...a feeling of overprotectiveness and wanting to be there for the lonely guy, because hinata...was feeling the same.
Maybe thats why she and sasuke became inseparable
Hinata gulped.
"Gaara kun" she whispered inwardly.
