The kakashi's squad took off to their mission.
They met at the village gate.
Kakashi and sakura were leading the way, the blind would see at how kakashi was taking care of the pink haired ninja.
And hinata was no blind fool, but she can't contain her jealousy, she was in immense pain.
Whats worse that feeling things you don't have the right to.
Its the worst, and gaara and sasuke were no blind as well, to see how hinata was distressed.
Naruto and ino were both chatting and giggling together.
Sasuke took some more steps forward and he patted her back gently, hinata looked at sasuke with a pained smile and then she nodded assuring that she'll be okay.
As for Gaara, he was into so much pain as he saw the girl he always loved was suffering.
How can someone let this gentle cute girl suffer.
She was nothing but a selfless person.
Only she was so unlucky in her relationship with the silver haired man.
Kakashi must be a fool.
To let such beautiful girl slip away.
He cursed inwardly.
After few hours of walking.
"We should settle here for tonight" the silver haired man said.
"Sasuke, gaara and hinata, go bring us food, naruto and ino prepare the tents and me and sakura will start a fire after we collect the woods" kakashi ordered
"Hai" all chorused.
Hinata walked along with her best friend and Gaara.
She was as usual, calm, but inside her she was in turmoil.
Gaara could feel the eruption inside her.
As they collected some fish, hinata was using her byakugan to scan the area making sure its safe until gaara and sasuke finish fishing.
And as she was scanning, she saw them.
Kakashi and sakura.
They were walking collecting the woods when kakashi tried to tickle her.
Sakura giggled and dropped the woods.
She approached him.
And then she was pointing a punch when kakashi blocked it, then he slammed her to the bark and placed his knees between her legs and crashed his lips onto hers, kissing her violently.
Hinata let out a quiet sob, and deactivated her byakugan immediately.
Gaara heard the sob and looked at hinata.
"Excuse me..i..i'll go to..inspect something" her voice was shaking.
Gaara as well as sasuke knew immediately.
She was crying.

Gaara followed hinata.
He saw her from afar, punching the woods, repeatedly.
Then she dropped on her knees and started weeping loudly.
All of a sudden, she felt two arms tightly embracing her from behind.
Hinata's eyes widened and her mouth gaped.
Her tears were wetting her cheeks.
She felt a warm cheek pressed onto hers, and then a face dug shortly into her shoulder.
The arms tightened around her.
She knew those arms to whom belonged.
No not the uchiha, but the redheaded boy.
"Daijoubu..hinata-chan...daijoubu..." his lips murmured lowly.
His arms were wide, his chest pressed against her back.
And his voice was genuine and assuring.
He felt warm, and hinata never felt that kind of love before, not from anyone except the uchiha.
But sasuke was colder than anyone else.
She knew he cared for her, deeply, but he sucked at showing affection.
But those feelings are different from the uchiha.
Could it be.

Sasuke watched from afar at how his best friend was being hugged tightly.
The raven head guy didn't notice until he flinched at the pain he caused himself by biting his lips until they bled.
How can someone hug hinata like that and its not him? Sasuke won't admit, but he was possessive and jealous over hinata.
And gaara hugging her like that.
He was in no place.
He knew that gaara loved her, he even offered help before, but still...No, he was jealous.
And he can't, he can't deny it.

After a while, they all came back, all ate and bid each other a good night.
The three girls shared a tent while the other three boys shared another one.
Kakashi was sleeping on his own tent.
Hinata could feel sakura sneaking slowly outside the tent.
She activated her byakugan and saw sakura entering kakashi's tent.
She doesn't need to know what will happen.
She decided to take a walk.

Hinata sat by the lake, her knees across her chest.
Her tears were pricking her eyes.
She let out a silent sob, then all of a sudden someone sat down by her.
Hinata quickly wiped her tears.
"Can't sleep?" Gaara said
"Um" she nodded
"I can't either" he smiled
After a moment of silence
"The sky is beautiful as well as the lake" he said
"Ah" she said
"Look at how the stars are shinning" he said
Hinata looked up, Gaara looked at those pearl eyes that were twinkling across the skies.
They were beautiful.
He could swear he is drowning in her ocean.
He saw how her mouth widened into a smile.
"They are shinning for you, hinata" he said in the sweetest way.
Hinata looked into those emerald eyes.
She smiled widely, and her cheeks burned with embarrassment.
They both looked into the lake that reflected moonlight.
"I never knew my mother" gaara said.
"But i always felt her spirit telling me to always look at the sky whenever i feel lonely..." he continued as hinata listened
"And then i actually felt happiness" he smiled
"I knew my mom for small time, but she died after giving birth to hanabi shortly" hinata said as well.
"Guess we have something in common" gaara said
"We were outcasted and suffered from an abusing fathers"  gaara chuckled
Hinata giggled.
They said make her smile, and she'll fall in love with you, but he never knew, that every time she smiled, he was the one who fell more and more in love.
Gaara started pointing to the stars and telling hinata about the constellations and each star story.
Hinata listened intently as they both lied on the ground.
Both kept on chatting for god knows how long.
And hinata couldn't deny, it was her first time to be happy chatting with someone.
As they chatted, gaara pointed to a star and told her this star remained nameless, and he decided to call her hinata.
Hinata smiled and blushed fiercely.
They kept chatting until the break of dawn, both lying on the ground and being covered with gaara's blanket.
Then hinata yawned.
"Ah, guess we need to get back to the tents, ne?" Hinata said
"Ah" gaara said.
"Lets go" hinata said looking into those emerald eyes.
"Hai" gaara said as he looked into those pearl ones.
Hinata involuntarily found herself nuzzling into gaara's embrace.
Gaara wrapped his arms around her tightly, he rested his chin on her hair.
Hinata buried her face inside his broad chest.
"I think i should go" she murmured
"Hai, you should" he said as he tightened his arms around her.
Both eyes closed slowly, sending them into their deep slumber.

A certain uchiha was watching, he clicked his tongue.
"Tch" as he watched them through the night to make sure she is safe, and at the same time he was burning with jealousy.

"Gaara, hinata..." ino woke them as she saw how both were sleeping into each other's embrace.
Hinata opened her eyes, her mind didn't comprehend until she realized she slept into gaara's embrace, and now ino saw them.
Hinata felt her cheeks burning.
She got up quickly and ran towards the tent.
Ino smirked.
After they ate their food, the were ready to take off again.
Sasuke watched as gaara was taking care of hinata.
As when she was walking, a snake bite her legs.
Gaara had to suck up the venom and wrap her legs tightly.
Sasuke was trying to help but gaara involuntarily pushed him away.
After they started walking again, hinata felt dizzy and started to hallucinate and had fever.
As sasuke approached to carry her on his back, gaara was one step ahead and did what he wanted.
Sasuke clicked his tongue.
Naruto rested his hands over his best friend's shoulder.
And as for a certain silver haired man.
Seeing gaara approaching hinata made him feel unnecessary jealous and it was a feeling he never experienced with the hyuga.
