The day was rainy and
not the best day, honestly. The clouds were hiding the sun and it was quite gloomy. You sighed as you looked over at the window, the rain hitting the glass fiercely. You liked the rain, but not when it was too loud, but at least it was a little calming. You looked back at the chopping board and carried on cutting some vegetables. You aren't a vegan, but you needed to eat something healthy as lately you had been eating junk food and you were worrying you were gaining too much weight.
"Hmm," You softly hummed to yourself as you placed the knife down and started taking out two pieces of soft bread. "Why do I have a weird gut feeling?" You mumbled to yourself as you placed the vegetables onto one piece of bread. You finished making your small, healthy sandwich and sliced the bread in half.
Knock Knock Knock Knock
Knock Knock Knock KnockYou furrowed your eyebrows, who would be knocking now? When it's raining? You swiftly set your knife down and quickly walked out of the kitchen, into the living room, through the hallway and to the front door. You looked through the peep hole and saw two short figures, you could only see the top of their light brown hair. Your first thought was that these short people were children, and you were 100% correct.
You opened the front door and were amazed that you were right, they were children. Your eyes widened as you saw how cold and frightened these children were. Both looked around 10 and had the same light brown hair and the same light blue, denim jeans and red shirt. One had curly/wavy hair, the other had round, black glasses and straight hair. They didn't look like each other, but they definitely did resemble each other in a way which made you think they were siblings.
"A-Are you ok?" You choked out as one of the boy's shook their head and shivered, their hair swaying in the motion. You fully opened the front door and gestured for the boy's to come in. The boy's rushed in and were immediately met with the warm atmosphere and the warm breeze of your house. Both boy's rushed into the open door of the living room when they saw a fire place. You closed the front door and locked it as well before running into the living room.
The boy's sat down on the red sofa near the fire place. It was so warm. You sat down on the other red sofa in front of the boy's and they both immediately looked over at you. You smiled warmly before questioning the boy's.
"Boy's, what's you names and age?" You asked softly as the one of the boy's held, who you think, his brother's hand and squeezed it. The other boy glanced at him before looking at you with a small smile.
"I am Namjoon, I am 6. Um, this is my older brother Hoseok, he is also 6. Hoseok is a minute older than me because we're both twins but we don't look like each other," The boy with the glasses said softly as he gave you a small smile. You nodded your head thoughtfully.
"My name is (Name), I'm 20. I live alone and teach dance to children and adults," You said as Hoseok looked at you with admiration in his eyes. Hoseok was a fan of dancing but he was always restricted from it.
"I liked dancing too," Hoseok whispered as he looked down at his lap, too shy to face you. Namjoon smiled warmly when he heard his brother talk to you. You nodded your head with a smile.
"All right. You two must be hungry, would you like anything to eat?" You asked as Hoseok immediately looked up at you with excitement. They both nodded their heads and gave you a big smile. You smiled at them and entered your kitchen.
You sighed in relief when you saw your half-sliced sandwich on the chopping board. You opened an over-head, light wooden cupboard and took out two small, blue plates and placed the two rectangular shaped sandwich's on the separate plates. You smiled before picking up the plates but then you remembered you were still in your pink apron that said 'You may kiss the cook'. You slightly blushed, how embarrassing!
You took off your apron and placed it on the counter and picked up the two plates. You walked into the living room and saw that the two young boy's were playing a hand clap game and their shoes were placed on the red, kind of fluffy carpet. You mentally awed and smiled softly at the sight. So adorable.
You walked up to them and placed the plates in front of them on the glass table. The two boy's smiled and immediately picked up the sandwich's and bit into them. Once they both took a bite, they looked at each other and smiled, making their cheeks more fuller and their eyes closing when they smiled. You were going to die of their cuteness.
"They might get thirsty, better get them some water," You thought to yourself as you swiftly walked back into the kitchen and opened a cupboard and took out some coloured, hard plastic cups.
You looked at the hard plastic cups, thinking what colours you should choose. You soon came to the decision to choose two blue hard plastic cups for both of them as they seem to match with many things. You had those kiddy hard plastic cups that came in different colours because your sisters kids loved those cups and so you bought those cups for every time they visited. You filled the cups with fresh, cold water and walked into the living room again. You placed the cups on the table and both boys placed their half eaten sandwich's on their plates and took a sip from the cups filled with water. You smiled before taking a deep breath.
"Where are your guardians?" You asked. You knew, as someone who's older sister rambles on about phycology 24/7, that it was not a good idea to say 'parents' to children who look like they've been abounded by their parents. Namjoon put down his red cup before looking at you with his big, doe eyes.
"They both just gave us some weird tasting food and then I remember being really sleepy and then we woke up under a bus stop. Then I figured out that we were abounded, and it would also make sense. Mother and father never really took us to doctors or dentists, mother was a doctor so I guess she took care of that. They handled everything secretively but I guess they finally got tired or something." You nodded your head, taking in all the information while nodding understandingly. You were actually surprised on how this boy knew all this, it was obvious he was quite intelligent.
"Yeah, it's sad. We don't know what to do, can you help us?" Hoseok asked as you bit your lip, but nodded your head almost instantly. You looked over at the window, it stopped raining, couldn't you go to the police station with them? Yeah, You'll go to the police station with them. You took a deep breath before standing up, the two little boys trying to do the same but they couldn't get off sofa's as the sofa's were quite tall and big. You giggled softly before helping both of them off of the sofa's.
"Boys, we're going to the police station, shoes on," You said, as the boys nodded their heads and quickly slid into their shoes. You nodded to yourself and walked to your front door and slid into your trainers and grabbed your keys from a shelf. You opened the front door and you and the boys headed to the police station.
