Ok so today in my country it's October 31 which is Halloween as well as Wei Ying's birthday so I decided to do a birthday special. I'm only doing a birthday special mainly because I don't really believe Chinese culture celebrate Halloween nor do I want to be in anyway offencive so yeah. ( A birthday One Shot)

Lan Zhan point of view

I stared blankly at the ceiling of my bedroom as I worriedly thought about what I was going to gift Wei Ying.

I had not slept a wink last night and I'm tired. I had spent my night browsing gift ideas and asking people(that obviously did not answer) what he might like.

Okay let me explain.

Today is October 31, Wei Ying's birthday, and I want to give him a gift but I have no idea what to gift him.

At some point I thought about just giving up and asking him but I want it to be a surprise.

I want to see his genuine beautiful smile when he receives a surprise gift from me, his boyfriend.

Though we are really close and know pretty much everything about eachother, we also don't.

I don't really know what his favorite color is or what are his hobbies. If he plays sports or if he likes something in the fine arts.

It always interested me when I found out like things like that, because the little things matter. Everytime he smiles when he's having fun or doing something he loves, it melts my heart and makes me fall in love with him more.

And because I love him, I want to make his birthday special - the best birthday he's ever had.

Ok maybe that's an exaggeration but you get what I mean.

Anyway it's currently 7 AM and I'm just laying in my bed staring up like an idiot.

That is until I got a text notification.

From - Jiang Cheng ._.

Message : so you want to get something for Wei Ying? Hmm... I'm just going to buy him like food or something simple like that. Don't think to hard he's the type to be satisfied with anything as long as it's from someone special. Especially if it's from you.

I felt my cheeks burn up thought I'm pretty sure it wasn't really noticable unless you looked directly at my ears for a long time. It made me really happy to hear that I was an important and special person to Wei Ying, as he is to me.

What he said calmed me down a bit but not to much. I still didn't know what to get him.

I guess it's no use sitting here and thinking about it. I'll just head to the mall or somewhere to see if I can possibly find something to his liking.

I stood up from the bed and walked towards the restroom to take a shower.

I grabbed a towel and left the water running as stripped myself of my clothes.

I stepped into the shower and let the water fall on my skin and hair.

After shower

I stepped out of the shower and dried my self off as much as I could with my towel. Then I wrapped the towel around my waist as I did my daily hygiene such as washing face, brushing my teeth, etc.

I changed into some black skinny jeans with a simple white polo shirt and black jeans jacket. Something simple really.

I grabbed phone and other belongings as I made my way outside my home.

(I'm to lazy to add extra detail lmao its 11:21 Pm and I'm rushing.)

-I walked inside the center of the mall, probably around the food court to see if I could find anything to buy but nothing really seemed interesting.

There where clothing stores, games stores, art stores and more.

But even thought there where like hundredths of stores in this mall, nothing really called out to me- so I walked around looking at stores.

After about 30 minutes of non stop looking, I was getting really tired and desperate.

The longer I was here the more hopeless it got.

That is until I laid eyes on a pretty small looking store. It had pretty wide and large windows revealing what was inside.

Just staring at this reminded me of Wei Ying.

I got excided and walked into the store.

Wei Ying P.O.V

I've been texting Lan Zhan non stop but he hasn't answered me.

Maybe he forgot it was my birthday..?

I mean every one else is here at the party but it's just not the same if he isn't here.

Even his brother is here already snuggling over there with Jiang Cheng as he screams at him to stop.

Cliche.

But seeing them together only makes me miss him more and I can't help but grow worried.

Maybe something happened to him or maybe he grew tired of me.

Worry was painted all over my face and I was holding back the urge to cry or look for him.

So much that people started asking if I was ok and other reassuring that he was okay- that he'll be here.

It did calm me down a little but only that, a little.

I heard a slight knock on the door and instantly my face lit up.

Lan Zhan!

I opened the door and there he was, the same expressionless Lan Zhan.

"Lan Zhan~! You made it!" I said with a wide smile.

I was really happy to see he didn't just abandon me or forget.

"Mhn"

I looked down to see he had a gift.

He seemed to have noticed since he lifted the gift towards me.

It was a pretty big and pretty bag. It had really cute designs and the label read "Bear Fair."

Bear Fair..?!

"Wait is it..?"

"Open it."

I slowly began to open the bag and saw there were two rabbit plushies inside.

One that was black with tints of red in it's ears and paws as well as a white one with blue tints on it.

It kinda looks like me and Lan Zhan!

This is kinda weird and cliche. I never really imagined Lan Zhan would ever get me something this cute but hey I'm not complaining.

"Happy birthday Wei Ying."

"Thank you, I love it and I love you."

"I love you too."

He leaned in for a kiss and I kissed back.

This has to be one the best birthdays I've had because I get to spend it with my family, friends and the one I love most.

"Come inside, everyone's waiting."

"Mhn."

This probably has so many Grammer mistakes so don't call me out on it I know.
