Rosa Sandoval just finished unpacking her room. Granville, Ohio wasn't the same as Los Angeles, California. Rosa was still trying to get used to this.
She walked over to the picture that her friends Livy and Sophia gave her when they heard Rosa was moving to a small town in Ohio. They were instantly sad when they heard the news, and found the photo when they were at Disney World, striking a pose with Minnie and Mickey Mouse.
"This is gonna take awhile to get used to." Rosa found a tear slipping from her eye.
There was a knock. She quickly rubbed her tear away. "Come in." It was her mom.
"Yes Mom?" Rosa asked.
"Not much. Just checking in. How do you like your new room?" Mama questioned.
"It's bigger, without..." Rosa trailed off. She didn't what to think about that. That could be true! It just can't!
Rosa broke down crying. Mama went right for her to comfort her. For a while they sat on the floor hugging. Eventually, the crying died down.
"Rosa." Mama said.
"Yeah?"
"Everything is going to be alright."
"You sure?"
"I promise."
