Chapter 15

"Rosa! Wake up! You slept in!" 

Mama came into Rosa's room. Rosa had slept through her alarm. Rosa stayed up late thinking about what has happened in the last week.

"Rosa!" Mama walked over to Rosa. "Honey are you okay?" 

Rosa started to tear up. 

"Oh Rosa, I'm here for you. Do you want to talk about it?" Mama comforted her.

"I miss Dad and James." Rosa wasn't lying. She does miss them, but that's not the reason.

"I miss them too. I miss them a lot." Mama started. She hesitated for a moment. Then she smiled.

"You know what?" Mama said.

"What?" 

"How about we go somewhere. Just you and me." Rosa looked at Mama. 

"What about school?" Rosa was curious about what Mama was thinking.

"I think you need to take a break from that, do you want to go somewhere?" 

The suspense was killing Rosa. "Where though?"

"Is that a yes?" 

Rosa thought. It would be nice to get away from school. "That's a yes."

"Great! I'll go call the school. Get ready for the day and come down when your ready."

Before Rosa could ask more questions, Mama left the room happily.

After being in the car for around 15 minutes Rosa was wondering were Mama is taking them. The suspense is still killing Rosa. 

"Where are we going?" Rosa asked.

"You'll see. We'll be there in about 10 minutes." Mama answered.

Rosa continue to stare out the window. Then she got a buzz from her phone.

It's Noah. 

She open the text.

"Where are you Rosa? I haven't seen you all day? You okay?" 

Rosa shut off her phone. 

"Rosa I'm sorry if I pushed you. I shouldn't have. Are you okay??"

Rosa started typing.

"We're here!" Mama said excitedly.

Rosa looked up and gasp.
