"Hi," Candace cleared her throat. Veronica had gathered a few people that Candace had offended. "I know you're all mad, and don't want to hear it, but I just wanted to apologize for lashing out. It was inappropriate, uncalled for, and plain rude, so please accept my apology," Candace apologized. She sat on the sofa that was across from the couch where the rest of us sat.
"Like hell," Cheryl angrily shouted as she stood up from where she sat. "I don't forgive those who offend me, or my friends, and I certainly don't forget," she narrowed her eyes. One would think Toni would help cool her down, but it was all the contrary.
"Likewise," Toni stood up. Candace began to ball her hands into fists.
"I," I stood up, without thinking. Everyone's eyes were on me. "I do... accept, the apology," I awkwardly spoke.
"Thank you," Candace seemed to relax. I could here Charles hum in pleasant surprise.
"How big of you," Cheryl said sarcastically. "Anyway, I'm hungry," she deviated from the subject at hand. "Charles, Heather, you coming?"
"Yes please," Charles jumped up from the couch to joined Toni and Cheryl at the door.
"Oh, I want to go back to pops," Veronica ran across the living room to the door to open it for everyone. "Come with Betty," she extended her arm, inviting Betty to take her hand.
I looked back at Candace who was nervously playing with her hands. "You coming," I asked, feeling bad for her.
"Sure," her face lit up.
"Sorry bitch, animals aren't allowed at Pop's," Cheryl pokes her head into the house to speak. I glared at her and she rolled her eyes.
"That's ok, I'll just go back to the hotel," Candace shrugged. She walked with her head down, like a puppy with it's tail between it's legs.
