Jimin is breathless, leaning against a concrete wall of a dark alley, in hiding. His breathing is deep and labored but the heavy rain completely swallowed the sound of his heavy breaths. Jimin listened ever so quietly in the corner of the dark alley, heavy footsteps rushing along, maybe three or four men were running after him. The splashing of puddles as they run past him, unsuspecting that he might be hiding from them.He knew that he will not make it if he continued to run. Jimin tightly grasped his wounded arm, pressing on it in an attempt to occlude the damaged arteries— to stop his bleeding. It was a gunshot wound and he was lucky enough to live through it but would he make it to the end of the day? Jimin's back slid down against the wall and he sat himself down. Cold, wet and bleeding. He will make it. He has to survive this.
With that resolve, Jimin tore off the hem of his shirt and tightly tied it over his wound, creating a makeshift torniquet. That should be enough. Now he just need to get to Namjoon before these men get to Jungkook. He stood himself up and peeled the wet, clinging shirt off his body and took a new shirt from his bag before discarding it. He walked out of the alley, into a crowded night market, like a completely new person. However, he spotted someone familiar amongst the crowd and she saw him too.
Jimin thought it's be best to avoid contact with anyone. He was going to run as she got nearer to him but what she said made him stop in his tracks, "Seokjin ordered me to find you and Jungkook."
"You're Miya, right? Is that even your real name?" Jimin asked her, eyes boring into her, suspecting that the whole thing is a trap. "I don't just trust anyone. I can't tell you where the boy is."
"No need. I know where he is and who he's with." She spoke without emotions, completely the opposite of the girl who he met a week ago. "You left him with that girl."
Jimin feared that Jungkook's location has been compromised and, by this time, those men might be on their way to him. He needs to run. Jimin needs to protect him no matterwhat.
"He's safe for now." She went on.
"What do you want?" Jimin told her, looking around again, in case those men who were chasing him came back.
"This is not a good place to talk. Follow me." She turned around and quickly walked into the crowd. Jimin made sure to keep up with her.
Is he making the right decision? Who is this girl? Jin didn't tell him about anyone else. And if she's really receiving orders from Jin, why did she not take Jungkook to bring him to a safe place.
Jimin blindly followed her into a garage. He doesn't know what will happen to him. There's a 50/50 chance that he'll die or get saved but his gut instincts tell him to trust her. One more thing is that she wouldn't have known Jin's name if she wasn't working close to him. Only a few people know his name and that would be people he trusted.
"You'll be safe here for now." She said as he followed her upstairs. She switched on the lights and the whole room lit up, revealing a cozy little living room. "You can sit anywhere you want while I get you dry clothes."
"Who are you?" Jimin questioned once again. A part of him isn't quite convinced.
"I told you. I work for the same man you work for." She repeated, taking off her jacket. "I was working on something else but Jin told me to do a quick check on you. I told him what I found out. You and Jungkook could've been dead if I didn't come around. You put his life on the line. How can you trust Jungkook's life on some stranger's hands?"
"I trust her." Jimin replied with tenacity in his gaze. "And I will come back for Jungkook."
The girl left and came back from the other room, carrying new clothes for Jimin, "Take your shirt off and wear this."
