"Please think about it. I still have time before I go back to the US." He said with a gentle voice and then said goodnight.
I watched him walking away. He wasn't that fat yet when he stopped on his tracks for almost a minute. Hoseok turned around abruptly and began walking back to me. I had a mini panic in my head, wondering why he was coming back.
"I'm sorry, Cherrie. I thought I can but I really can't wait. Please give me an answer now." He said.
"Will you date me?" Hoseok looked more nervous than I've ever seen him before which rarely happens. I've known him for years and I could attest that he is confident in whatever he does. Probably because he is brilliant in everything. He has that aura to him.
My mind is wiped blank. I was going to call Jinjoo and ask for her opinion just as I've always done. However, I realized that I'm a frown woman and I can't just always depend on my best friend to help me decide the choices I make in my life. I have to do this for myself.
I can't be stuck up on a guy who says he likes me but loves some other woman. Hoseok is a great guy. This might be for the better.
"Yes." I was glad my voice came out fine.
Hoseok's face instantly lit up and I was pulled in for a tight hug. "Thank you. I have liked you for years and I regretted not acting on it back then. I regretted letting you know how serious I felt about you and now I'm not going to let this chance slip from me again. I know your feelings for me are not that deep but I'll do everything I can to make you fall in love with me."

I tapped on his back lightly. "Hoseok, it's a little tight in here."
"Oh, sorry. This might be cliché but I swear I'm the happiest man on Earth right now." He replied with a grin. I chuckled at him. I felt happy too, somehow. "Are you doing anything tomorrow?"
"No." I replied. "It's Saturday. I don't work on weekends."
"Great. Let's grab breakfast tomorrow." Hoseok beamed at me. He's really cute when he's excited. "Or lunch? Whatever you want."
"Also, just tell me if I'm being a bother to you. I won't mind. I just don't want to force anything on you." He added and I responded with a smile.
"It's okay. Breakfast is fine." I told him, "But you'll have to give me a wake up call. I'm not exactly a morning person."
"I know." Hoseok laughed. "What time do you want me to wake you up?"
"8am?"
"Roger that." He fumbled on his phone and showed me what he did afterwards. "I set up my alarm 10 minutes before 8 o'clock."
