"Not going. Nope." I say, smacking my lips to make that popping sound at the end just to piss off the person on the screen of my phone. "Aw, Jinjoo's mad. That's so cute."

"This is not about me." Jinjoo's video becomes blurry as she moves out of her bed with her phone on her hand.

"Jinjoo, put some pants on. I can see your Powerpuff girls panties." I teased with a spoon caught between my lips. She shrugs it off and mumbles something between Powerpuff girls and Beyonce while I take my and dug it again on the pint of ice cream on my lap, almost hitting the bottom, "I need to buy more ice cream. Hey, what flavor should I get?"

"No more ice cream!" Jinjoo yells at me as she fix herself a cup of tea. She scolds me some more once she was settled on her comfy couch, "Look at you. You're still young, Cher. Henry is not the end of the world for you. There's a lot more out there if you keep looking."

I rolled my eyes at her. "Why is it always about Henry?"

"See? You're upset because of him. You need to get him out of your mind. Forget about him!" Jinjoo says and I keep on eating my ice cream to the last spoon. "Stop eating!"

"Jinjoo, you don't understand at all." You groaned in annoyance. "I'm not even thinking about Henry right now. You're the one who's so hung up over him." I tell her and she doesn't seem convinced. "I'm handling it, okay? So chill. Let's chill. I need more ice cream."

"Fine." Jinjoo admits in defeat. "Don't eat too much ice cream. You'll get fat. You don't want to go back to high school version of Cherrie, do you?"

"I was chubby not fat." I corrected her. Jinjoo has been weight conscious all her life. I can't blame her for that knowing that she had such perfectionist parents. "Besides, a little fat won't hurt. I'd trade anything for ice cream right now."

I hear her sigh as I throw the empty container in the trash. "Anyway, what was that you were telling me about the other day? Something about your neighbor?"

"I'm not ready to tell you about that yet. Let's talk about something else." I replied and she moves away from her laptop to focus on me.

"I smell something fishy." Jinjoo squints her eyes and inspects me through the screen. She gets excited when she hears he's been inside my apartment, totally ignoring the part where he just helped me to move the boxes. "Is he cute? He can be your rebound guy."

"That's too much." I said, walking into my room to change. I pull a shirt over my head and jumped into my jeans. "I don't want to do that to someone and, he has a baby."

"He's married?" She questions, her face so close to the screen so she could hear me.

"I don't know. I don't think he is or maybe least he was." I replied, pulling my hair into a high ponytail.

"Go for it then." Jinjoo sits back and crosses her arms across her chest. "He has a baby. So what?"

"Then he doesn't have time for a relationship." I told her, but she doesn't listen.

"You're not looking for a relationship either. You should just be there for each other. You know human companionship." She grins at me, hinting at something else that makes the hair on my arms raise.

"Keep your fantasies to yourself. I have to go get my ice cream." I tell her for the final time and then hangs up.

I left my apartment in the comfort of my sneakers since the whole week I've just been wearing heels at work. I was waiting by the elevator when I heard another door close behind me. I turn to look, just in time, to see my new neighbor leaving his apartment too. He was wearing washed out jeans topped off with a loose, semi sheer shirt that accentuated his toned torso and over his shoulder was something like a strap that goes around his back.
