If you're just tuning in, let me tell you that this year's Transylmania has been a true spine-chilling treat! It looked ominous for our plucky contestants at the start point in the highest spire where little twelve-year-old Laura Hartley was immediately lost to the Grim Reaper, but fortunately the others had enough presence of mind to keep going and made it down the clock tower with relative ease, or the game would've been up right there!
After that, nine-year-old Helen Capes fell victim to the bats atop the castle ramparts, and the remaining trio surprised us all by leaping desperately into the moat where they narrowly escaped the nightmarish mermen and navigated the sewage pipes to emerge unconventionally into the final section: the hedge maze.
Do not fret because despite bypassing the lower levels of the castle interior, there's still plenty to survive; the hedge maze plays home to a gauntlet of phantasmal creatures. Without further ado, let's see how they are going.
Oh, I'm just hearing that during the commercial break, eleven-year-old Catherine Spark made a dash for it and only succeeded in being cornered by the zombie patrol. Let's check the replay.
Gruesome!
If the final two can avoid the rabid rottweilers and chainsaw-wielding giant, the door at the end of the maze opens into the studio, to us!
And here they come now. Outrunning the dogs but what's that I hear? Sounds like the roar of a ravenous chainsaw! Can they—!
Aww, what a pity—they were just a hairsbreadth away! Won't you join me in giving them a round of applause, because didn't they do well? Their courage and cunning made this a Transylmania for the ages! I'm sure their parents are very proud.
Until next year!
