~~~ It's late at night, you're home alone and you hear a suspicious knocking coming from your closet. In 100 words write about what you find after opening the door. ~~~

My brother wasn't home as I entered our house with my key. Since the strange death of our parents, he had inherited the mortgage and memories. Just completing exams at college, I came home to spend time with him.

Full belly, quiet house, and childhood scents from my bed, I closed my eyes with the light on. A knock on my closet door startled me before I got the familiar feeling.

With trepidation I opened the door. In the darkness on a chair sat my doll Annabelle that I thought my parents had dropped off at museum before they died.
