2.3 The Road to Teamwork...Partners?

Everyone had arrived and they had gotten on the road without a problem. It was turning into the afternoon and the group decided to stop.

It was silent except for Kiba and Naruto bickering. It was friendly though as they didn't want to get scolded by there senseis. Again.

Kakashi then got everybody's attention after thinking about an idea to get rid of this silence.

"I have come up with an idea," Kakashi stated.

"I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing," Asuma muttered.

"I think it's a wonderful thing, Asuma." Kurenai glared at the male sitting next to her.

"Okay. So my idea is that you will each be assigned a partner and you will be stuck and forced to spend time with that person until the end of the mission."

The students weren't too happy about this idea as you could hear the grumbles if annoyance.

"THAT IS A WONDERFUL YOUTHFUL IDEA KAKASHI!!!" Gai yelled and gave a big thumbs up towards his rival.

"I AGREE WITH YOU GAI SENSEI! IT WILL BE A SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE!!!" Rock Lee showed up next to Gai.

Kakashi sweatdropped and then told the students to get in a line.

"Okay, so I'm going to pair you guys up."

Everybody had someone in mind that they wanted to be partnered with but of course, none of them got who they wanted.

"First will be Choji and Lee, then Ino and TenTen, Shino and Sasuke,  Shikamaru and Naruto, Sakura and Kiba, and Neji and Hinata."

There were some sighs of annoyance or begrudged mumbles but everybody split up from there own friend group and went to find their partner.

Everybody was together except for Hinata and Neji. Neither one of them had moved and they were both stubbornly not budging at all.

"Neji. Hinata. You guys are partners. Is there something wrong?" Kakashi asked though he already knew of the feud between the two. It wasn't that hard to figure out but you can't blame the two for acting the way they act. It's more of the clan heads fault.

"I will not be partnered with such a weakling like Hinata." Neji crosses his arms and turns away from the two.

Hinata glares at him slightly but eventually turns away to.

That went on for a few more minutes until Kakashi sighed.

He then brought his hand up. "Alright, I guess you leave me no choice."

The two teenagers look at him but then all of a sudden they were transported to another dimension.

It was a small island that you couldn't escape from no matter what.

Neji tried to break his way out but nothing worked. Hinata had seen this skill back when Kakashi and her were both on the ANBU. She just has one thing to say, it is impossible to get out of.

Naruto and Shikamaru were always acquaintances. Shikamaru doesn't remember, but he and Naruto used to do small pranks around the village together. That was before his memories got wiped as Naruto accidentally released a bit of the Nine-Tailed Fox on him. Luckily, Shikamaru wasn't injured, but Naruto was forbidden from seeing him again.
