Roman's POV:
Virgil's heartbeat got faster and it sounded like his breath got uneven. But before I could say anything he said "doesn't matter" and went to his room. I got the feeling that it did matter so I followed him to his room. But when I got there it was locked.

I could hear his fast heartbeat, clicking sounds, and a song that I have never heard before. What's happening, I thought. I was about to knock on his door when his heartbeat got more even. I decided that me knocking on his door would do more harm than good. I went to my room and just laid there, confused on what just happened.

Time flew by and I heard Patton and Logan wake up. When it hit 6am I left, acting like I wasn't still confused. Logan, Patton, and I talked for a bit till there classes were starting. Hunger waved over me and I realize that I never "ate" yesterday. I went to my room and took out a blood bag. Virgil has a tendency of staying in his room, so I was basically home alone. I took the blood bag with me and drank it while watching Disney Channel.

I was so lost in the blood and tv that I never heard Virgil's door open. I have no idea how long it took me but I finally heard his heartbeat. I noticed that it was closer than before and saw Virgil with a blank face which was returned with mine of surprise. When did he get here?!? I thought.

"Uhh...this isn't what it looks like, we'll actually maybe it is, but I thought you only leave your room at night" I was basically rambling and saw him roll his eyes. "I can explain..." I trailed off. It seems that he lost any patience he might have had. "I know your a vampire so I would have expected to see this at some point," He plainly said while going to the kitchen and getting a water bottle.

I stared at him dumbfounded, "H-how?" I asked scared for the answer. He staid quiet for a while like he was debating something. He seemed to decide on what to say and replied "you didn't think you were the only nonhuman here did you?" I got more shocked but then got curious, "what are you then?" I saw him tense at that question.

"It doesn't matter what I am, but I figured that it was unfair if you thought that some random human, that could possibly get you killed, found out what you were." He said while turning around. "What's unfair is that you know what I am but I only know that your not human." I said unable to see the fact that he obviously didn't want to tell me. Actually, I did see that, I just didn't care.

"Look, I'm not going to tell you what I am, but your annoying and I know that you won't stop asking so I'm just going to kill two birds with one stone." He started to walk over to me and my eyes widened. "I-I know that it was an expression, but you genuinely look ready to kill." I probably shouldn't have pushed him because he looked more than annoyed.

He put a necklace on the table in front of me then walked past me. "What I am involves hearing thoughts, and that's how I knew what you were." I looked over at him with the necklace in my hand and he continued. "I don't actually want to hear your thoughts it's annoying. Put that necklace on, it will prevent me from hearing your thoughts."

I was beyond confused and I'm sure you could see it on my face. "I don't get it, shouldn't reading minds be fun, why are you giving me something that prevents you from reading my mind?" He rolled his eyes before replying, "first:it's not fun, second:reading minds and hearing thoughts are different, and last:like I said, I don't want to hear your thoughts. We're going to have to live together for who knows how long, I would rather not accidentally know something about you I shouldn't. Which already happened." He blankly said before going back to his room.

He's right, I thought as I put on the necklace he gave me. It was gold with a red and white diamond pendant in the middle, I actually liked it. I went to my room and put the unfinished blood bag in the mini fridge. My thoughts started going everywhere. Virgil and I aren't human. Are Patton and Logan human? Should I tell them I'm not to find out? No, That could be dangerous! But...they don't seem like those type of people.

I finally decided that I would tell them. They had the right to know that they're living with a vampire. Who knows, maybe they're not human. I also decided that I should tell Virgil so I went to his room and knocked on his door. "What do you want?" Was what I got as a response. "I'm going to tell Patton and Logan what I am when they come and I thought that I should tell you so that you'll be there too." I said. He replied with an "ok" then I walked to the living room to wait for Patton and Logan.
