Patton's POV:
It's been a week since we've seen Virgil in a   Vulnerable state. He's gotten back to his usual sarcastic self, which is great. What's even better is that he started to hang out with us more. He's still distant, but we're getting closer. He just needs time, soon enough he'll let down his walls. I hope.

I walked out of my room to enter the kitchen and, As usual I'm the the only one out at this time. I take out pancake batter because I'm in the mood for pancakes. I make the batter and as I start putting it on the oiled pan, Logan comes into the kitchen. "Hey Lo!" I said in my cheery mood. "Salutations" he said back while making himself some coffee.

When he's done he sits down while taking a sip. We start having a conversation about classes and I mentioned how I'm having trouble in math. He offered to help which made me blush while agreeing. You see, I found out that I don't just like my roommates...I have a crush on all 3 of them. But Roman is too good for me while Logan and Virgil are too emotionally distant.

I guess I'm ok with just being there friend. At least I still have them in my life. I finished up the pancakes as Roman entered the dorm. He sat down on the couch and stared watching tv. I put a plate in front of Logan and me while also putting a plate in Virgil's spot. He started to eat with us more even though he barely ate. It was concerning at first but turns out he just doesn't need to eat that much.

Me and Logan started eating as Virgil came down stairs. "Hey kiddo!" "Hi" he said as he sat down and started eating. It was mostly silent, other than me and Roman talking about random stuff across the room. This made Logan roll his eyes and Virgil snicker a bit. I've noticed that. Neither Logan or Virgil actually laugh or smile. But I know when they're happy, even if it's just a little. And that makes me happy.

When the 3 of us finished, I started cleaning the dishes while Logan and Virgil joined Roman in the living room. They were talking about something but I couldn't tell what. Then I heard Roman yell "YES!" I had finished the dishes so I walked to them to see what happened. Logan must have saw the confusion on my face because he clarified.

"Roman thinks that we should know more about each other's powers. I agreed but Virgil was reluctant. They made a compromise and Virgil finally agreed, making Roman yell in victory." I nodded in understanding and Roman spoke up, "so, what about you?" It would be nice to understand the other's powers better so I agreed.

"Great! Then we should go somewhere to give demonstrations." Said Roman. "Your right. It would be better to do this in an open space. But where exactly do we go?" Logan asked. We were all in thought and were pulled out by Virgil. "I know a place. It's an abandoned park near by." He said. We all agreed and followed him outside of the house and to the abandoned park.

On our way there, the second we left the building I felt uneasy. It wasn't my feeling, it was somebody else's....Virgil. I noticed how people moved out of the way and herd some whispers. I don't know what they were saying, but judging by Roman's sudden anger he knew.  This never happened to me, Logan or Roman. Which means that this is because of Virgil, I feel bad for him. How often does this happen?

The walk seemed longer with all of the eyes on us. I knew it took all of Roman's will power not to lash out. When we finally made it there we went to the farthest corner where no one can see us. We checked to make sure no one was there and Logan did some type of spell so if someone did come, they wouldn't see or hear us.

"So...who's going first?" Virgil asked. "I'll go first!" Roman exclaimed. "Ok, so my powers are basically like the ones in the movies. I'm super strong/fast, have increased senses, and no, I can't fly or turn into a bat. But I have this cool thing called compulsion." He explained. "What's compulsion?" I asked. "It's basically controlling people. I can make them tell/answer anything I ask, make them forget/remember anything I want, and make them do whatever I want. Though it only works on humans."

We all nodded in understanding. That was the end of his explanation because we already knew about the blood and sun situation. It didn't look like the others were ready so it was my turn. "You guys already know I can turn small and have wings. I can also use earth magic, which is controlling nature and using it in potions. I'm also an empath so I feel what others feel." I explained. It wasn't hard to understand so that was the end of my turn.

Logan was next. "It's not that hard to understand what witches can do. I can make potions with different items and have books to help me if needed. I also have magic that doesn't necessarily need chanting. Chanting is what you do when you need to make your spell stronger or you want to be the only one that can undo it." He explained. That was the end of his turn.

We all turned around to Virgil. He sighed then said, "I don't necessarily need to explain. You all already know that I have wings, can control shadows and can hear people thoughts." He was right, we already knew all of that. "Well...what exactly is "hearing people's thoughts"? You once told me that it was different from reading people's minds. How?" Roman asked.

"Reading people's minds is a choice. It's something you can learn to control. Hearing people's thoughts isn't. You don't have a choice. You can block everyone's thoughts as much as you can block your own. Which is close to none for me." Virgil explained. "Wait, so your hearing people's thoughts right now?" I asked. "Yes, I'm hearing everyone's thoughts from a mile radius. Besides you three because I gave you guys those necklaces that prevent me." He answered.

I felt even more bad for him, having to deal with that. We didn't have anything more to talk about this subject anymore so we sat down. We started to talk about ourselves. What we like what we hate, things like that. Virgil's walls started to get lower and I couldn't be more happier. I wanted to know him, all of them. It started to get dark and we needed to head back home. Roman and Virgil had classes in a little while.
