"So I realize you feel bad now about being such a dick your whole life but don't worry you'll get your memories back and then you'll be a dick again and it'll all be good," Percy, my niece according to Harry, is not the most helpful non-person I've come across.

"I like them okay? Is that that bad? You've got your----Slade person," I sigh, leaning against a freezer with a dead body in it.

"Ooo yes I know, he's sweet," she says, smiling and rubbing her hands together, "Isn't he?"

"He hunts his own kind, that's not sweet. It's the definition of evil," Harry says.

"Oh shut up, do, I liked it better when we were miles apart," she says.

"Oh so did I but he says he'll find a way to hurt me if I don't help him and I know he can," Harry says.

"Come on, can't you just do this one little thing for me? There's bound to be a way for me to make it up to you. Based off of your conversation with Slade earlier you want to have sex with me, how about that?" I cannot believe I just said that. Gage had better recognize the idiotic things I'm doing for him.

"Oooo----no Slade says I can't unless I let him kill Gage and I don't want to I like him," Percy says, pouting a little.

"Why are you doing what the mortal wants?" Harry asks.

"It's this philosophical concept we have called 'loyalty' individuals hold it for those they have mild affection for---"

"Please? I'll do something else then surely there is something you might like help with," I say, hopefully, "Anything. Just help me figure out a way to get him back."

"I could. But I don't want to. I mean----I can't really. The soul's already on the Other Side. It's not endowed with our powers so it can't traverse like we can. I can take it to the Underworld, if you want," she says, "Even if there were a way I'm not quite sure of it. I'm sure you'd have to do it in fact you're the one who sent the soul to the other side."

"So ----there's no way to get him back? How do I know you're even telling the truth?" I ask.

"I wouldn't lie to you're my favorite uncle and on my top five non-despicable people list," she says, smiling like that will make it true.

"That might be true," Harry says.

"He wouldn't know he's not on it," she says.

"Come on, seriously, I need your help you have to be able to do something," I say.

"Like I said I'd have to find out----wait, you really care about these people don't you?" she asks.

"Yes, I do. They were kind to me," I say.

"Even after they found out what you were?" she asks.

"Yes---and before they were----it was nice, having a family," I say, "I couldn't remember before but, it was something I didn't feel like I'd had before. And I liked it." And I'd like to have it again.

"Then we'd really better continue this on the Other Side with any mortals you like---their world will be ending soon," she says.

"What---why?" I ask.

"Oh my god you're insufferable not knowing things. I'll explain. On the other side."

Then darkness.
