I went to look for the book store that Moire mentioned, of course with Arthur by my side. After hearing about our past, we still feel awkward to speak to each other. It's about half an hour ago we walk, yet we haven't speak a single word. I can't stay like this forever so I initiate to talk to him."So, what do you think about Moire story? Do you think she lied to us?" I questioned him.
"I cannot tell. She is a succubus after all. They known for their sweet talk to attached their prey" he explained.
"Well, I guess we can only find the book she mentioned. Hopefully we could asked where it's originally from."
"I hope too."
We walk following the village path. Right at the end of the alley, there's a bookstore, an old looking one, just like Moire told. The building looks old, as if about to crumble from a single wrong move. It doesn't have a door, only parted by two layers of fabrics. Holding our fear, we brave ourself to enter the bookstore.
"Hello? Good morning! Is anyone here?" I exclaimed.
"Isn't it too dusty for a bookstore?" Arthur questioned his surrounding.
"It's old. What can you do about it?"
"At least the owner clean it regularly even if just dusting the books. Look at these, this book was eaten by a rat."
"My apologies for my incapability to clean this place, young man." an old raspy voice heard from the stairs.
"Oh no, sir! I'm very sorry if you felt insulted by his words!" I apologized to the old man.
"It is okay, young lady," he smiled gently as he walked to the counter,"So, is there something I could help you with?"
"Actually, we look after this famous book, "The Light and The Dark". Do you have it here, old man?" Arthur asked him directly.
"Ah, that romance book. I do save some of it." the old man replied.
"Some of it?" I questioned.
"Yes. I heard that the book are not allowed to be published anymore. It is said the content might cause war." he explained.
"I heard that it's a good book. Why people prohibit it?" I asked him curiously.
"I do not know what the cause, young lady. All I remember that a young man at his age was the writer of that book," he mentioned to Arthur's appearance, "and there's a woman who willing to burnt all the book he made. I saved some of it but I never make the copy or even sell it. Only the beautiful woman from that brothel buyed it once. It was already long ago. I hope I could see her beautiful feature. Maybe she already an old hag now." he chuckled.
Arthur and I looked each other, confused of his explanation about Moire.
"Excuse me, but, aren't she still as same as your thought?" I tried to get a clear explanation for what he just mentioned.
"No no. The woman in that brothel is not her. She just have the same appearance as her. Evrn though they have the same name. She's her granddaughter." he explained.
"So he just got tricked by a succubus. Sly Moire. Poor old man." I pouted in my head.
"I'll take the book you asked. I might need a hand to take it."
"He can help you, sir." I shoved Arthur in front of the old man as he send me a very piercing glare of his, but I don't care as I watch both of them walking inside the store, leaving me alone in with the old crappy books.
I looked around the store and my focus are locked to the corner of the desk. I found a very intriguing color of a book. It's colors are grey with a little black and white ornaments here and there. I took the book and about to read it as a hand hold mine. I turned my body to find the owner of it, only to meet with an enchanting red orbs and a cute little hat on his brownish hair. He smiled and shows his very intimidating fangs.
