I walked off the red train with Hermione. I still haven't heard from or seen Ginny since our fight, but if she wants to be Ms.Nosey I am fine with that, just don't be nosey in my business!
"First yers' this way! First yers'!", Hagrid boomed over the confused and scared first years. I said goodbye to Mione and went over to Hagrid.
"Hi Hagrid!" I said over all the other first years who were dumbfounded by the giant.
"Hiya Rose! Okay first yers' this way! Come on!" He yelled going down the platform towards the famous black lake. I don't really know if it's famous, but I know that all first years ride on boats across the lake. That is some downfalls from having six siblings that have already gone or go to Hogwarts, they tell and spoil everything for you. So when you go to Hogwarts you act like you have done it before because your brothers spoil everything for you.
I get in a boat that I didn't like because it felt uneven, but it was to late because someone already got in which blocked my way of getting out. The girl had almost white long blonde hair and pale skin, she looked like a dreamer because she didn't even acknowledge me, she just stared into space.
"Hi, I'm Rose Weasley." I said with a wave to try and get her attention. I didn't work she just kept staring into space.
"I'm Luna. Luna Lovegood, pleasure to meet you." She said still staring at nothing and not even looking at me.
"Are you excited to go to Hogwarts?" I asked trying to start small talk. By now the boats started to move, I saw Ginny in a boat with rather short boy with mouse brown hair and a camera. I ignored her and just focused on Hogwarts.
Me and Luna didn't talk at all the rest of the ride, just gasped when we saw the amazing castle that I would be staying at and learning magic for the next seven years. When the boats got to land we both got out and followed Hagrid inside the huge castle.
We walked up a flight of stairs where a woman with black hair tied back into a tight bun covered by a witch's hat and a stern face stood at the top.
She did a little speech I blanked out because I have heard it six times already. Then she went into what I assumed was the great hall based on how George described it. He said it wasn't the best place for pranks because there was always teacher watching you while you eat.
I then approached Ginny who was not to far away from me.
"Gin." I said before I was cut of by a hug.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I know you hate you full name." She whispered with a bit of a chuckle at the end. I let out a dry laugh and released her.
"I'm sorry too, I know you hate you full name too." I said nudging her arm a little. She laughed.
"Why did mom have to give us the bad names?" She asked with another laugh.
"I don't know." I said laughing along with her. Then the lady which I figured out as McGonagall came out of the doors.
"We are ready for you." She said then turned around and walked to the door and pushed them open lightly. It opened to reveal a beautiful sight.
It was lite up by thousands of floating candles, hundred of kids buzzing about what will happen this year at Hogwarts and who will be their new DADA teacher. Again having a brother who helped defeat the Dark Lord who was inside their DADA teacher has its perks and downfalls. I still didn't see Harry or Ron but I did see Mione, Fred, George,Percy (not that I cared that he watched or not) I wasn't that close to him, and I also saw Draco which made me blush.
We walked up to the front of the Great Hall where a stool stood in the middle with a old brown hat on it. Dumbledore got on a podium and did a little speech. Then it was time to get sorted. Tons of people went including Luna who got in Ravenclaw, then I heard Ginny's name.
"Ginevra Weasley!" McGonagall shouted. Ginny shakily walked up to the stool and sat on it. It didn't take long before it shouted.
"GRYFFINDOR!!" It bellowed. Ginny got off the stool with a big smile on her face and went to sit down next to George at the Gryffindor table.
"Rosaline Weasley!" She shouted, I could tell her voice was giving out.
I walked up to the stool, I have never been so nervous in my life. But the thing is I don't care where it puts me, I don't even mind if it puts me in Slytherin for god sakes! Because it has to have a reason, and I have always been different from my family so I don't really know if I will get sorted into Gryffindor. I sat on the stool and McGonagall placed the old hat on my head.
Hmm very difficult, very very very. You are a Weasley, but you are nothing like you family. You are smart you could be in Ravenclaw, but you are kind in a different way then most people expect and you hate losing and are not a good sport. So not Hufflepuff, maybe Slytherin. But you also have bravery but Gryffindor doesn't seem right for you. You also will do anything to get what you want and have big dreams. Hmm better be....
"SLYTHERIN!!" It screams, I heard gasped from all the tables. McGonagall took the hat off my head slowly and I stand up and walk to the Slytherin table and sit down next to a girl with beautiful brown hair and carmel skin. All eyes are on me and then McGonagall grabs their attention by continuing the sorting. I can still feel the burn of glares from the Slytherins in my back but I ignore it and watch the rest of the sorting.
That boy Ginny was sitting with on the boats got into Griffindor as well. Dumbledore did another little speech and then mountains of food appeared on the golden platers with just a clap of his hands. I admired the food and started digging into a pork chop and vegetables, I always liked to eat healthy for some reason it just felt right in my body. I could still feel some glares from Slytherins but I didn't care one bit. I then looked up from my food to see Ron and Harry finally there, but I don't see joy on their faces along with any of my family. I saw disappointment and angry, I gave them a confused, hurt, look but they just turned away and continued eating and talking with their Gryffindor friends.
