Rose's POV:

I woke up to see a white room that was way too familiar. The hospital wing. My vision was almost blind as I stumbled up on the white hospital bed. My vision started to clear, and I saw a figure. All I could see of him was beautiful grey eyes. Malfoy.

I rubbed my eyes and now my vision was crystal clear, it was in fact Malfoy after all. I gave him a puzzled look. He just had a look of sadness and guilt.

"What are you doing here, Malfoy?" I asked. He sighed.

"I wanted to see how you were doing." He stated. I nodded.

"Well, I'm doing fine so you can leave." I said swatting him away with my hand. He got up from the chair and with a sigh he slowly made his way out the hospital wing. I felt a burn of guilt as I watched him sadly leave.

I was in my dormitory packing up my trunk when a barn owl pecked at the window. I went to the window and opened it, the owl swooped in and perched itself on the edge of my bed with a letter in its beak.

I grabbed the letter and gave the owl some food. I sat on my bed and opened the letter.

Dear Rose,

It's your brother Charlie. I have just found out that the people that I work for are looking for another person to work for them. Specifically, a child. So I told them about your love for dragons and magical creatures. So they are offering you a one year job as a dragon trainer. Owl me back as soon as possible of what you want to do. I have already talked to Dumbledore, and he says it's a new learning opportunity.

With love,
Charlie

I gasped at the letter. Dragon trainer! I have always wanted to be a professional dragon trainer. I love magical creatures!

I quickly grabbed some parchment and ink and started writing. I didn't think about what people would think or do, this could fulfill my dreams of becoming a professional dragon trainer!

Dear Charlie,

I would love to be a dragon trainer! I can't wait to see you again! And see real dragons!!

With love,
Rose

I gave the letter to the owl and sent it to Charlie. I sighed. Even though this is my dream, how am I going to tell everyone. How am I going to tell them... that I am not going to see them for a year.

We were all sitting in the Great hall for the end of the year celebration. The hall was buzzing with excitement because Gryffindor had won the house cup, if I had to be honest, I was jealous. I was now friends with Kira and Ginny, because they found out me and Malfoy aren't friends anymore.

"Another year gone. This I might say was an extremely interesting year. But it was a very educational on at that." Dumbledore said from his podium.

"And now the house cup. In fourth place, Slytherin with 327 points. In third place, Ravenclaw with 378 points. In second place, Hufflepuff with 432 points. And with 476 points.... Gryffindor!" Dumbledore stated. The whole Gryffindor table stood up and started cheering. The rest of the tables except Slytherin, soon joined, they were just happy that for once Slytherin didn't win the house cup.

None of the Slytherins joined the extravaganza, not even me. We just sat there, extremely frustrated at ourselves, the professors, and Dumbledore for favoriting the Gryffindors.

*Time skip to the train*

I gave my trolley to the trolley loader and headed onto the train. I sat in a compartment with Kira, Ginny, Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

"This was a..... interesting year. Wasn't it?" Ron said awkwardly. They still were trying to get used to me for some reason.

"Definitely." I said simply. My stomach grumbled.

"I am going to get food from the trolley. Does anyone want anything?" I asked getting up and walking to the compartment door.

"I'll have a chocolate frog." Ginny said. I nodded.

"I'll have a licorice wand and every flavor beans." Ron said with a smile. I nodded.

"Anyone else?" They all shook their heads no. I slid the compartment door shut and started walking down the thin hallway when I bumped into someone and fell on my butt. Just like the first time!

"Oh, s-sorry Ro- Weasley." A certain blonde head shuttered.

"It's okay Draco." His eyes widened when I said his first name.

"And please, call me Rose. It's very weird having you say my last name like that." I said with a small smile. He smiled and nodded.

"Where were you going? Ya know before I basically pushed you to the ground." He said with a smile. I giggled. What! I never giggle!

"I was just um, heading to the trolley." I said awkwardly. He nodded. Then it got really awkward! We both just stood there, occasionally sneaking glances at each other. I couldn't take it anymore.

I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the nearest empty compartment. Even if I had my back to him I could still see the confused face he had as I slid the compartment door shut. I sighed.

"I know I shouldn't. But... I can't take the awkwardness between us!" I yelled not even turning around. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath

"Why is it like this between us?" I asked desperately. He sighed.

"Because... you know I still have feelings for you. And.... I know they won't go away." He said sadly. A single tear slid down my cheek. I want him, I want him to be mine. But my body wouldn't let me, and I hated it!

I made my body turn around and face him. His beautiful grey eyes, pale skin, chiseled jawline, platinum blonde hair, he was gorgeous. I couldn't take it any longer.

I stepped closer to him, closer, closer, closer. Our lips were centimeters away from each other, I could feel his hot breath against my lips.

I leaned in slowly and connected our lips together. His cold lips begged for more as we kissed passionately. It felt so right. He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer, our body's now touching. I wrapped my arms around his neck making the kiss deepen. He bit my bottom lip asking for an entrance, I gladly gave him permission. He searched my mouth gently as I did as much as I could to deepen the kiss.

We pulled back for air, we both looked at each other with love while also both breathing heavily. He suddenly attacked me in a hug.

"I'm sorry, I should have never called you that horrid name. I thought I had lost you! I thought I would never be able to talk to you or kiss you or-" he said into the hug but was cut of my lips crashing against his. The kiss instantly turned passionate and heated.

We spent the rest of the train ride together, stealing kisses, talking, and filling each other in on what it's been like without each other. It was just me and Draco, I didn't let anything bother me. Not what everyone would think of us, not leaving next year, not even seeing mom and dad's face when they found out about all the crazy stuff I did this year. He helped me forget about everything. Draco Malfoy was the only thing on my mind.

End of year one!!! I will probably do year 3 (since I am skipping the dragon training) and maybe year 4 in this book. Then the rest of the years in a second book.
