Kendo x reader -Just the Way You Are-

"I swear to god both of you are going to end up in a mental hospital!"
It was normal for Neito and I to be called crazy, but we wouldn't have it any other way. When we met Kendo things changed. Sure she got annoyed by us constantly rambling about 1-A being the worst, but she never once called either of us crazy or insane. It was nice but that didn't stop others. She was just considered someone that everyone else called upon to reel us in. I never thought of her like that. She's just the person to complete me. When I walk into a room and she's there I just feel some sort of way... Neito says it's probably anger but I've done a small amount of research. I've confirmed this feeling is called love. Neito says and I quote," oh, that. It's too sappy you should just give up on it." And to that I say,"No way!" I'm not gonna give up like he didn't give up when people called him a copycat! The day after my stupid twin brother told me to give up I tried harder. I changed my ways a bit. Stopped insulting 1-A so much, and started complementing Kendo. I stopped being crazy for so long I think by now I might actually be sane! Take that 3rd grade teacher! Take that bullies! I'm gonna do something! Something monumental! I'll be the first twin to get a girlfriend! That next day I devised a plan. I'll just ask her out with my words. Not the best idea but hey I'll try anyway. Now is the time. "Kendo! Can I maybe talk to you for a moment?"
"Sure (Y/N) what do you need"
"You"
"What?"
"I- uhhhh... bye!"
Well that went terrible I think that's the worst way it could have gone. Maybe Neito was right... she wouldn't wanna date a psychopath like me... I'll just go sit down and avoid her for the rest of the day.
~time skip~
"Hey (Y/N)... can we talk"
"Uhhhhh... sure..."
"About what you said earlier..."
"Oh god"
"...I was thinking about this new cafe that opened up downtown. Maybe we could go there on Friday?"
"Y-yeah! Definitely!"
"Cool, then it's a date!"
She walked away and I just stood there shocked. Did that really just happen? Wow. I can't believe it. I really got a date with the girl of my dreams...

(A/N): and I'm done with the request/prompt for @junktard so yay! I'm really hecka tired but I get a half day today so that's good! Love you guys and thanks for reading this far!
