Chapter 5
I woke up early Monday morning to get ready. Today was the day that Stiles and I will be showing that we are dating. I was over the moon at the thought that this was actually happening. Not wanting to go over the top, I decided on a simple pair of distressed black jeans, a gray cotton turtle neck, and a pair of black short heeled boots. With a bright smile on my face, I skipped down the stairs and waiting for Stiles to come by to pick me up.
I had to wait a bit before he did drive into my drive away and walked over to my door. I was confused at what he was doing as I went to open the door, but I stopped, dead in my tracks when I saw what Stiles was holding in his hands. A bouquet of roses greeted me before I saw Stiles' face.
"What is this for?" I asked, a smile dancing on my lips.
He matched my smile as he answered, "Just because."
I took the roses off him and gave him a sweet kiss in the lips. I didn't allow myself more time than a quick kiss as I rushed over to the kitchen and placing the flowers in a vase. Once they were placed on the counter, I rushed back to Stiles as he waited for me. Hand and hand, Stiles walked me to my side of the jeep and opened the door for me. Thanking him, I got in. Closing my door carefully, Stiles ran around to his side and hopped in as well.
We sat in peaceful silence as he took my hand in his as he drove. I was in cloud nine at the thought that Stiles and I were dating. It also helps that my wolf was enjoying the contact I kept with him. I mean, wolves are pack animals that like to be in contact with their pack mates. But when a wolf had found their other half, they were over the moon. This feeling feels just like that.
When we got to the school, Stiles and I walked hand in hand through the hall as we chatted about what to do with Scott. Really I was hoping he can figure out the whole Allison situation before he got his head on werewolf stuff, but Stiles was right. The sooner he gets a hang of things, the better it will be for him.
"So," I called out to Scott as we got to his locker, "Have you talked to Allison yet?"
Scott sighed as he closed his locker.
It was after school already. He was getting his things out of his locker before heading to practice.
"No..." he sighed, "I don't even know what to say to her!"
"Scotty," I sighed, "Just tell her you were nervous about fucking up the date. I'm sure she will totally understand. Hell, compliment her. Girls like compliments."
"Well, you look beautiful."
My face lit up at the sound of both the compliment and Stiles' voice. I turned around as he took my hand into his own. Scott looked down at our joined hands then to Stiles and I, individually. He was so confused and happy at the same time, that he was at a lost of words.
All he was able to say was, "When?"
"When you left Stiles' on Saturday," I answered.
"Wow," Scott smiled brightly, "Congrats guys. It was about time you guys finally confessed to each other."
"Wait," Stiles looked at his best friend, "You know that she liked me and you didn't tell me?"
Scott just shrugged but winked over to me.
I mentally slapped my forehead as I recalled the time he found my journal. It was so embarrassing and that was also the last journal I ever wrote. The last thing I needed was for Stiles to find it next. The journal in question is actually somewhere in the backyard, buried. I was a young, I couldn't play with fire so I just buried it.
