Chapter 2
"So," Lydia spoke up as we opened our lockers which were near each other, "What was the cause for the interrupt girls night, this time?"
I rolled my eyes at the reminder of the night, "He wanted to go looking for something, which only ended with his dad busting us..."
"I would imagine that would and should happen more when they catch you two making out or in the middle of the act," Lydia laughed at her joke.
I gave her a look but smiled a bit, "I would rather be busted from getting into trouble over being busted during the act, thank you very much."
The bell rang which cause me to sigh. Closing my locker, I waved Lydia goodbye before heading to my first class of the day, which I shared with Scott and Stiles.
They boys were near the windows as Stiles looked up at my arrival and waved at me. I smiled at his cute actions and headed over to the two. Scott smiled up at me as I walked past him and laughed when I ruffled his mop of hair. I took my seat behind Stiles as he looked over to me.
"Scott just told me that he might have lost his inhaler back at the preserves, so we're heading over there after school," Stiles announced.
I looked over to Scott who just gave me a shy smile, "Sorry."
I shrugged, "No worries, but someone is going to carry me if we come across mud or water. I doubt any of you can pay for a new pair of boots if they get damaged."
"How much did they cost?" Stiles asked as his eyes drop to my footwear.
As his eyes looked up and down my legs, I fidgeted a bit at the feeling of him checking out the boots. It wouldn't have given me this effect normally to get Stiles to look at my shoes, but since it was a knee high boot, he had to look up and down my left to get a better view of it.
"300 dollars," I answered once I calmed down a bit, "Lydia gave it to me for Christmas."
"3-!" Stiles turned in his seat to look at the boots properly, "3 freaking hundred dollars! Are you two crazy!?"
I gave him a look as I simply answered, "It's called having fashion sense, Stiles..."
"You don't need expensive things to look good, Juls!" he threw back still passionate about the revelation of my boot's cost, "You can come to school in a brown sack and you would still look better than any other girl in school!"
My eyes grew wide as my face became pink, "You mean that?!"
"Yes!" he exclaimed.
Scott nodded along with Stiles as he agreed.
I smiled at them. Ready to tell them how much that means to me, but our teacher came into the room and began the class session. The two boys turned back to the front leaving me to smile like a madwoman. I kept looking at Stiles' head as I played back what he had just told me.
The class was to busy with the syllabus before us as some just groaned along with me and Stiles. When he heard my sound of frustration, Stiles turned around to shoot me a grin. I returned the grin back as I tried not to faun over his smile. I covered my face once he finally turned back around as I tried to regain my composure.
When the sound of the door opening filled the classroom, I finally snapped out of my freak out as the vice principal came in with a new student. She looked pretty and clearly not comfortable with being the new girl in town. I glanced at my friends to notice Stiles not even really paying attention, but Scott was locked on the new girl.
