Chapter 31
Monday came and went. Stiles and my mother convince me that it would be for the best to wait one more day. I would go back to the hospital to get my leg checked out and recast in a way where I could walk on it. Of course, it wouldn't look pretty but it was the only way to not go about school in crutches. Stiles was with me as my mother did the process of making it look like I still have an injury. All I had to do was make a show about it.
So here I am, the next day waiting in front of the school for both Allison and Lydia. Lydia had also been given her leave of the hospital yesterday, so now it was us three again. Eventually, both Allison and Lydia came over to me. As soon as Lydia stood in front of me, I pulled her into a tight hug.
"I'm so happy you are okay!" I exclaimed.
"Same, but you never came to visit!" she exclaimed.
I pulled away and pointed at my foot, "I couldn't walk to see you. And when I was finally allowed to walk about in crutches you were gone. I went into a panic attack over it!"
"I love you!" Lydia smiled.
I smiled back and returned her words of affection, "I love you too, babe."
"You really don't remember anything?" Allison asked Lydia.
Lydia shrugged as she answered, "The doctors are calling it a fauge state, which is their scientific title to say that they have no idea why I don't remember running around the forest naked. Personally, I don't care I lost nine pounds. They called it a fugue state, which is basically a way of saying 'We have no idea why you can't remember running through the woods naked for two days.' But personally, I don't care. I lost nine pounds."
Yeah, thanks for that... I gained eighteen for me trying to not be hungry.
"Are you two sure you are ready to go in?" Allison asked.
"I don't care what anyone thinks about me," I answered, "For all, they should know, I got injured trying to keep my two best friends from getting too hurt."
Allison gave me a knowing smile but then turned to Lydia as she scoffed, "Please. It's not like my aunt's a serial killer."
My eyes went wide as I looked over to Allison. She looked slightly hurt by it, but just looked at Lydia as she just opened the doors to the school. As soon as the three of us came in, everyone became quiet and looked over to us. To them, we were the murderer's niece, the crazy naked girl, and the crippled. I narrowed my eyes at everyone.
"Maybe it's the nine pounds," Allison tried to reassure Lydia.
I crossed my arms at them all and called out to them as Lydia began to strut her way through the halls, "Don't you guys have anything better to do than gawk? Well!?"
That got everyone to turn back to what they were doing. Allison looped her arm around mine as we walked after Lydia to her locker. Once there I went to my own locker and began to collect my own stuff. As I finished up, I received a text. I looked at it and smiled when I saw Stiles' name.
7:56 am - Stiles: We might have a problem. Scott thinks there is another werewolf at school.7:56 am - Juliette: What! I'm on my way over to the field!
"I got to go," I told the girls.
Lydia looked at me like I was crazy, "Where are you going?"
"Something came up," I laughed, "You know Stiles and his antics."
I didn't let them stop me anymore I tried to fake limp my way out to the lacrosse field. The boys were already at the field getting ready when I bumped into someone. When I looked up, I noticed it was Matt.
