Boys upon boys

Background noise buzzed around me as I sat replying the night before in my head. The boys face, jaw slack and his paling skin, my bloodied hands caught the moonlight causing it to glisten slightly. Niklaus' thumb on my lip, his soft voice and the gentle touch of is palm on my back.
"Oh my god! Will you cut it out?" Caroline exclaimed turning towards me.
"What?"
"You've been tapping your pen for the last ten minutes, it's infuriating!" She threw her hands in the air with her classic Caroline dramatics.
"Sorry, I didn't even realise" I dropped my pen to my desk.
We were currently sat in an English literature lesson meant to be reading the next chapter of our book, mrs Lewis was sat at the front of class marking papers.
"What's wrong? You seem out of it?" Care asked.
This is they only class where it's just the two of us, I don't mind I quite like her well when she's not acting all control crazy.
"Just thinking about stuff" I replied hoping she'd leave it, oh but how I was wrong.
"What about? It must be important if you was that lost in it. OMG it's a boy isn't it?" Oh god.
"Tell me everything! Is he hot? How hot? How old is he? Does he go to this school? When did you meet him?" She nearly screamed at me.
"Miss Forbes! That does not look like reading to me!" Mrs Lewis scolded her.
Care's quick apology to her didn't last long before she was back at foreign questions my way, by now my cheeks were bright red and I was hiding in my chair. Hoping the ground would swallow me up, care was so loud the kids around us had started listening in.
"No! Well like yeah but it's not what you think" I replied quickly hoping to silence her.
"Explain?"
"Well yeah but we met years ago and we haven't been together in a long time we don't see each other anymore. It don't end well." I finalised hoping she will leave it at that.
"That's sad. Well if it makes you feel any better I've heard of a little rumour that someone has taken a liking towards you!" She giggled and turned to the front. Care is one for gossip and she has a werid all knowing about the school and all the people within it. I know she was waiting for me to ask and expected me to be interested but let's be honest would Nik let anyone boy come close to me, I wouldn't risk it with him in town and so close. God knows how it would end.
Lucky for me the bell rang signalling the lesson was over, everyone stood up and started packing their belongings.
"So you're not going to ask?" Said Caroline running after me.
"Nope, I'm not here for boys." I stayed as we wondered down the corridor towards our lockers.
"Oh come on you've got to be a little bit curious? He's super hot" she explained.
"Who's super hot?" Ask Elena as she turned a corner and walked with us.
"No one." But care beat me too it and started talking over me.
"Well Ari was moping about a past boy so I thought I'd cheer her up by tell her about the boy at school that fancy's her. But she is being boring and doesn't want to know!" Care stamped her foot as we reached her and Elena's lockers.
"Well this is where I leave you. See you later " as I wondered my way towards my own.
I was a little curious but it's a human boy I don't think I've been interested in the since I was a human myself. And I don't think Stefan and Damon are going to be easy on them either, oh well. I turned the last corner towards my locker, the hallways were emptying as everyone made it towards their next class. Popping the 4 digit code in to the pad lock, swinging the door open and laying my books inside taking out the ones I'd need for history. As I slammed the door shut I figure caught my eye, a tall man with broad shoulders his arms crossed over his chest as he leaned against the lockers. His golden brown hair looking more gold in the light cast from the windows, his face was hidden in shadow but I could decide his features in perfect detail. I believe I will always be able to.
"Hello love" that stupid British accent drifted from his mouth.
"Nik what are you doing here?" I frantically looked around to make sure we were alone.
"Just checking up on what's mine." He had stepped closer to me, within reaching distance.
Thinking back to the night before I looked down at my hands imagining the blood. I've seen my fair share of loss and blood hell I've even taken part myself. For some reason being home make feel human again and well then I was innocent, I was pure.
"All is well Nik, I'm fine" I attempted to put more space between us but for every step I took he followed.
"Heard you're making quite the impact on the human boys." A chuckle left him as his eyes bore into mine. He's jealous.
"Well I can't help being irresistible can I." A smirk played in my lips.
"Well no I guess not love" he took a final step closing me in between the lockers and him.
"But humans boys will never be for you darlin, and you know it" his fingers ran from me cheek to my chin pulling my head up slightly.
" you never know I'm I might fancy a change" I shrugged trying the infuriate him a little.
"We will have to see then won't we, see you later love." And with a soft kiss to my cheek he was gone. The warmth of his fingers lingered in my chin for a moment longer, I stood there for a moment to collect my thoughts before the bell rang jumping me out of my thoughts.
"Shoot" I picked up my bag and using vampire speed I got to the door of my class.
"Sorry I'm late" I said opening the door, my face flushed as everyone stared.
"Sit" Alaric said pointing to my seat.
My brother was in this class as well as the girls so I tried to act normal sitting down. Of course that was going to happen as I turned to my seat the widow was in front of me and guess who was stood with his hands in his pockets smirking at me. My face was bright red now I could feel it, I quickly sat down pulling a pen from my bag and looked a head. I felt Stefans eyes on the side of my face but ignored him.
Damn that stupid original.
