Unsolved Pain

Chapter 12

I awoke as Kayden laids there with a blank expression on his face. He turned to me and smiled. I gave him a half smile. I went to the bathroom and freshened up. I went to lay back down on the bed and looked out the window. He rubbed my bump waiting on a response. "So why didn't you tell me something was going on?" I looked at him as if he was speaking another language. I did give him a hint to what was going on. "Why do you think? I told you not to leave with him there at the hospital?" He laid back on the bed with his thinking face. I sat up and went to the kitchen. I started looking for a bowl,spoon, and his cereal. I was hungry.

Having a baby? I don't have a job I didn't even finish high school yet. Let alone I have to move out. I can't be with him, knowing he might make me lose the baby by stressing. So maybe I'll grab all of my belongings that I want when I know Michael isn't there. I'll have to go pass the house to see when he is there but I can't take my truck. Maybe Kayden will let me use his aunt's car. I think I'm starting to get warmed up to Kayden. I've told him my life story. I hope he doesn't think I'm damage goods. I just want to eat andI guess bring this baby into the world. This unwanted child. A baby is precious and all but I'm no mother. I'm not ready for this life. I just want to bring my mother back and she'd have all the answers.

Unfortunately, she is not here. I say at the table by myself until Kayden asked in. "What's the matter? Why are you crying"? I was lost for words and I burst into tears. I'm trying not to stress or lose this baby. I need to do some activities for me so I won't stress. I need the pain to go away. Tomorrow is Thursday. I need to go job searching after school. Kayden may have a job. His family will be home in a couple hours. "Bay we need to talk" I yelled out to him. He came downstairs. He seems he wants to be here for me. "Yeah, what's up?"

" Your family will be here soon. What am I going to do"? He looked around and looked at me. "Do what you normally do. I'll introduce you to everyone. My dad was Mexican so if you wonder why my grandmother and aunt is light skin, their Mexican." " Okay, I'll sit on the couch". He ran back upstairs to get dress. I heard keys connect to the door, I had gotten nervous. What if they don't like me? I asked myself. We stood there looking at each other. Kayden came down stairs. He greeted his aunt and grandmother.

"Aunt Ruby and Grandma this is my girlfriend Trixie". The room was silent. They looked me up and down. They started speaking a different language and pointed at me like the girls at school do."¿Quién demonios es ella y sé que usted no espera que se quede aquí" his aunt said.  I felt uncomfortable, and wanted to leave I started to go upstairs. "She is my girlfriend. Well y'all going to have accept it, I like her a lot. She's no harm to us." I looked at him and blushed. He took me by the hand and we went up stairs. We headed to his room I looked at him and he turned to look back. "I don't have time to be blinded by love when you just want lust." I blurted out. Way to go Trix's. "What makes you think that. I'm the good guy here remember?

Do you remember I came to save you? Do you remember anything? I have been here since I've met you.  I've never had feelings for someone, like I do with you. I'm not trying to fuck over you. Just because you see good looking guys doesn't mean we are all jerks. You got that?" I looked at him and nodded my head. He really likes me but I didn't think like this. "Can I stay with you until I get on my feet?" Still upset he looked at me and nodded his head. He brought me into a hug, kissed my forehead and looked at me. "I'm not trying to mess over you girl. Yes , you can." I looked at the clock and started heading for the for door. "Sorry to interrupt but I have to get all of my belongings before Michael comes home. He works with my uncle."

Kayden hurried and gotten dressed, we jumped in the truck and sped off. We got to my house and Michael was just leaving. Just in time i thought  to myself. As soon as he was down the street me and Kayden ran into the building started packing everything that belonged to me. We looked at the clock, time was going by pretty fast. By the time we finished it was close to the time Michael gets home. We quickly evacuated the house. Kayden drove to his home. His aunt and grandmother had left again. He helped me set up in another room which was the guest room. He gave me everything that I needed and he told me to get some rest. Its was only 7:30 maybe because, he wanted me to go to school tomorrow. I went to shower and got myself together. I laid in bed, said my prayers, turned off the light and went to sleep.
