Peter had been waiting outside the motel for about half an hour, waiting for Tony. Tyler had been fine with Peter leaving, they had enough time to say goodbye but Peter made sure he wasn't with him when Tony showed up just in case.

Tony showed up about five minutes later, who smiled as he pulled up next to him. Peter stood up, picking his bag up at the same time before opening the passenger door and getting in. Tony began driving as Peter put his seatbelt on.

"I'm sorry Tony."

"It's alright kid. You've never had control of where you've been, I understand you wanting that."

"Were you being serious about wanting to adopt me?"

"Yeah, we like you. Your a good kid, Pete. What made you want to come back?"

"I guess, I've always wanted a family. A real family. Not you know being on the run with my boyfriend. Some..sometimes I don't want to be alive. And I guess..I think it'd be worse living like that."

"Why do you think that?" He asked, panicking slightly not knowing how to help his kid.

"Tyler's great but last night I went for a walk and everything..just seemed pointless. What if in three months when we're like five states away and Tyler decides he doesn't want me anymore? I'd have nothing, no reason to keep going after that."

"I know you run when things get hard. You gotta understand that, that feeling is always going to be there but you can't act on it. You gotta learn that."

"I know I can't, I don't mean to."

"It's alright we'll work on it," he said as he stopped at a red light and turned to him. "How about when we get home, me you and Steve talk about everything and we try to find you a therapist?"

"Okay," Peter said with a slight smile.

Tony took Peter's hand, "I wish you told me or Steve before how you really felt but it's alright, you're gonna be alright Pete."

"I hope so."

"Yeah me too," he said with a small smile as he began driving again.

Once they got home, the 3 spoke for almost 2 hours. About how Peter was feeling, about how he'd began hurting himself again. Tony understood how it felt though he knew Steve didn't.

Peter told them what happened at Oscorp, he told them about how he wanted to become Spider-Man, how he wanted to help the little guys. Tony and Steve were both supportive and Tony told him he'd help make him a better suit.

They went through the adoption plans, Tony and Steve were both happy that he'd said that he wanted to get adopted by them. The two planed in finding Peter a therapist during the week.

Peter walked through the door after school, he had been adopted almost a year ago and everything had been better than he'd ever thought possible.

"Dad!?" He shouted as he closed the door and took his shoes off.

Steve was at the tower for a couple days helping with a mission. The 2 decided that whenever there was a mission either the 3 would go all together or only 1 of them would go so that someone was always home for Peter.

"Yeah Pete?" Tony asked as he walked out the door from his lab. "You okay?"

"Can we watch a movie or something?"

"Yeah," he said with a small smile knowing that meant he wasn't and needed something to distract him. "Just let me clear everything away down in the lab. Put something on I'll be right up."

Peter smiled nervously back before dropping his bag behind the couch and finding a good movie to put on. After he did he sat on the couch waiting for his dad to come back up.

Who did a couple minutes later. He smiled as he walked over and sat next to him expecting Peter to soon fall into his arms like he usually did when he wasn't feeling good.

"What's going on?" Tony asked as Peter lent against him causing him to wrap an arm around him.

"I'm fine."

"It's okay if your not."

"When I go out for patrol later can you come? I like going out with you."

"Yeah, I like going out with you as well," Tony said with a small smile as Peter looked at him.

As Tony and Peter got their suits on, the two jumped out the window. Peter webbed to the top of a building, where Tony stopped on standing next to Peter.

He usually sat there until he heard or felt something happening. Peter always felt his best when out on patrol, when he was helping people. It made him feel like he had purpose, it made living a little easier.

Movie nights where he'd fall asleep between his dads always gave him the best feeling. They were his reason for living, they saved him without really realising it.

Peter and Tony both heard an alarm for the bank that was a few blocks over. Tony took off flying waiting for Peter who soon jumped off and shot a web going in the direction off the bank.

Peter didn't know what would've happened if he hadn't called Tony that morning. He didn't like thinking about it, because a big part of him knew he probably wouldn't be alive if he hadn't. He was glad he did.

He finally had the one thing he never thought he'd have and he didn't know what he'd do if he didn't have them. He liked to think that if he did stay with Tyler they'd both still be alive out there something living a great life. All he could do was hope that's what Tyler had.
