"Nikki...my head hurts." Vince groaned, sitting up in bed.
"Good morning, Vinnie." Nikki smiled, slipping on a leather jacket. He had just finished getting dressed.
"Why does my head hurt?"
"That's called a hangover." He explained.
"What happened last night?" He kicked the blankets aside, looking down at himself, probably wondering why he was still in regular clothes.
"Tommy gave you whiskey, and—"
Vince let out a horrified gasp, "I got drunk last night?"
Nikki nodded.
"I can practically hear my braincells dying!" He cried.
"Don't worry, Vinnie, underage drinking is something literally every kid does."
"I'm like those kids they warned us about in school!" Vince moved a strand of blonde hair out of his face, tucking it behind his ear. It seemed to be a nervous tick of his. It fell back a moment later.
"Hey, it's alright. I know you're not like those kids."
"I'm not!" He insisted, "At least, not until last night... Nikki, I broke the law!" Vince wailed.
"Calm down!" Nikki crawled out of his bed and walked to Vince's side of the room.
"I REGRET EVERYTHING." He slowly reached up and touched his head, "Ugh, my head still hurts."
"Don't yell, alright." Nikki sat on the floor beside the air mattress, worried his added weight might pop it.
"Wait, something else happened..." He thought for a moment, as Nikki put his arm around him, "Between us! But I don't really remember...." Then he gasped, "Did you...take my...?"
"No! Nope! No." Nikki flailed his arms, frantically trying to put his hands on Vince's shoulder, "That didn't happen."
"But there was touching...I touched your—"
"Take a deep breath."
"I can't believe I did that..." Vince covered his face with his hands,"I feel so gross. I'm sorry, Nikki. I'm so sorry."
"Hey, hey..." He cooed, pulling him into a side hug, "It's alright. I forgive you. We all do crazy things when we're drunk."
"I still feel bad."Vince averted eye-contact, so he fixated on staring at Nikki's bed. As he did so, a ray of sunlight met his brown eyes at the right angle, turning them into golden pools of honey, that Nikki could wade in for hours, "Sorry I touched you like that. I'll never do it again. I don't know what got into me last night."
"Seriously, Vinnie, you're fine. You're still in the band, and we're still friends."
"Just friends?" Vince squeaked.
Did he want do be more?
Nikki didn't respond with actual coherent words, "Uhhh...."
"You're funny." Vince remarked, giving Nikki a little smile and leaning against him.
"Thanks. I guess."
"There's just something that's different about you." He sniffed, "You're so interesting."
"Interesting?"
"Yeah," Vince looked up a him using his hand to brush Nikki's bangs out of his eyes, "Oh my gosh, your eyes are so pretty! I've never really seen them because all your hair."
"Thanks Vinnie..." Nikki mumbled, his cheeks turning pink.
"Anyway, thanks for making me feel better." He wriggled out of Nikki's embrace, "I think I'm gonna go take a nice, hot bath."
