1 month later...

I was holding Rhea while Jen took a shower.

She was sleeping peacefully in my arms as I watched the news.

I asked if Jen wanted another dog and she says no.

 'Alright little one, naptime', I said.

I stopped and looked at the TV..

'Brad Connick, uncle of Harry Connick Jr, was arrested and taken to prison this morning after he was pulled over for speeding. Police found evidence of a complicated murder plot involving his nephews wife, superstar Jennifer Lopez and thier 3 month old daughter. He has been flown to prison in Los Angeles and charged with poisoning, assult, animal abuse, faking his death, attempted murder and a string of other crimes. He won't see the light of day for awhile'.

I sighed and felt a weight lifted from me.

That evil, dangerous son of a bitch can't hurt my Jennifer anymore.

I laid Rhea in her crib and called the police in LA to verify that he was there and he was.

I walked to me and Jens room and went in the bathroom.

'Oh hey there', she said.

She was getting dressed.

'Jen', I said and pulled her against me.

'What'? She asked as she giggled.

'My uncle is in prison. We are all safe now.. you're safe', I said and kissed her.

I could feel her smile against my lips.

'I can actually go out now and take Rhea places with me without being anxious and looking over my shoulder', she said.

'Wanna go to the park and out to dinner later'? I asked.

'Yes yes yes'!, she replied.

We're finally safe.
