In a world where superheroes are real who would ever want to be anything else? You certainly fell into that majority, the majority of youthful students with eyes turned towards the sky with high hopes to be someone to strikes fear into those who dare try to rip the world to shreds. You didn't know what lit the fire in your belly, but you were able and willing to be a hero.
With a quirk like yours you had a struggle getting into a hero course, it wasn't really a offensive quirk. That's where many dreams are squashed, was the type of quirk one has. It was really more of a support style quirk, not one for combat. You've mulled it over a lot, and your quirk could be useful if you were more of a rescue hero. That didn't sound too bad too you, as long as you where on the front lines helping who you could. Though it was a struggle when most of the entrances exams were combat and attack based when all you could do was open a measly portal.
But you weren't one easy to deter though! You were firm about becoming a hero, you were more than willing to work to do so. So much so that you managed to snag a recommendation into a hero course. Sure it wasn't the best school in Japan, but it was the biggest competitor to it. Shiketsu High. You were prideful in yourself for getting into one of the best schools in Japan.
Being a first year was interesting. You met a lot of interesting people, or more so intense people. Inasa Yoarashi was one of the first people you met, and he was very intense about everything. You hoped to avoid him as much as possible, but as fate would have it he was in your homeroom. But it wasn't the worst possible outcome that could have happened.
You often frequented a park close to your house. You didn't know why, it was quite a plain park, with a broken swing set and a rickety playhouse. But something just drew you here, it was a weird fuzzy feeling in your head and if you hung around too long it started to make your eyes hurt. It was weird and indescrable.
It was after one of these little excursions to the curious little park when you decided to head towards the center of town. You decided to get yourself a treat at a local shop, it was a little reward for all of your hard work. You grinned happily at the frozen delight in your hold turning to walk out of the shop.
Failing to notice someone else you both collided. It sent both of you falling back in surprise. Your frozen treat now ruined on the ground, you pouted a little about that, you had used all of your pocket change for it.
"Oh jeez.. I'm sorry!" Your attention was drawn away from youe silent mourning of the wasted treat and to the person you bumped into.
"No... No its okay!" You chuckled a little as you stood up dusting off your skirt, "I wasn't paying attention and paid for it.."
"Still." The boy chuckled with a shy grin, "I should have been more careful too."
You took a moment to study him, he looked about your age, a little taller. What really drew your attention was the curious formation of his elbows. Glancing back at his face you gave him a small smile.
"I'm (l/n) (y/n)." You smiled offering him a hand
He gently took it and gave it a shake, "Sero Hanta! Nice to meet you. And sorry again.."
"I have an idea about how you could make it up to me sero," You grinned a little, "Buy me a new sweet, cause this one is kinda... gross." You finished with a chuckle
"I don't mind that!" He laughed and followed you back into the shop.
