You were in a chipper mood, especially after chatting with that guy for awhile. Sero Hanta. The tape boy. You couldn't help the slight snicker that escaped you as you thought about an oh-so-childish joke that crossed through your mind. To be far, there is a statement to be made about a teenage boy and producing sticky things.

It was a quiet walk home, the streetlights were just starting to flicker on as you got to your street. Your chipper up beat mood began to fall as you grew nearer and nearer to your home, you just don't know what about it, but something there just sucks the joy and life out of everything around it like a vacuum that wouldn't turn off. Perhaps it was your sour old grandmother, maybe you shouldn't be so mean, she was the woman who raised you after all. But she was strict on all things, and expected nothing but perfection, she never talked about your parents, and would scold you if you asked.

Sometimes you wondered if you two were even related and she was just some weird old kidnapper that stole you away from the loving arms of your parents when you were little. Then you find an old photo of her and realize that she looked a lot like you as a young girl, not exactly you you she didn't have as sharp features like you do, but the resemblance is there. You constantly look through old photo books and boxes, just to try to find one photo that would even clue you in on what happened to your parents.

You only ever found one photo, it was of your father, or at least you believed it was because your grandmother snatched it away before you could look too closely at it. He was a tall man, with dark hair, and tender eyes. He looked like a happy man, and you were sure he would have been a good father to you, sometimes you let your imagination roam around and imagine all of you together. Your father was easier to imagine due to you having a small idea about what he looked like, but your mother was much harder to create in this little day dream of yours.

Did she have sharp features like your own? Maybe she had eyes that resembled that of a predator, a huntress ready to strike, like your own eyes. Was she small? Tall? Slender? Curvaceous? You had so many questions that you could just barely begin to stitch together what she looked like. But you did know one thing for a fact, she gave you her quirk, you've seen your grandmother use hers on occasion, and it is nothing like the one you have. So you knew your mother could cut holes through the fabric of space and time and step from one place to another with a simple flick of her wrist.

....Sometimes you wished she would tear through the empty spaces in your room and sweep you into her warm and welcoming arms and take you to a place where there would no longer be any sour grandmothers scolding you about curfews and an A- on a test, a place where all of your questions would be answered and you could be happy with your family....

But all that was just wishful thinking.

You frowned a little as you slid your shoes off by the front door. You could hear the drone of the TV in the living room. Taking a glance at the clock you noted it was a little past seven and you knew your grandmother would be doing her knitting while she watched her shows, it was something she did consistently day in day out. The retired old woman worked on a strict self-set schedule.

'A consistent and strong day, makes for a consistent and strong woman.' She always said. You didn't much believe it. You didn't protest getting woken up four hours too early because she would go off on a tangent about if you slacked now you never could be a successful hero.

"Grandmother," You called softly as you walked into the living room, "I am home."

"Oh, right on time! Exellent job as always my dear. Dinner is almost ready, you can go work on homework and I will call you down when it's done." She stated glancing back at you

You bent in a small bow, "Of course, Grandmother."

With that you turned on your heel and started up the stairs for your room, while doing so you answered an overly excited text from your overly excited class mate and entered the darkness of you room.
