Chapter 5; Smudged Letters

Sero was ecstatic! Sure he was down some pocket change, but it was all worth it with a pretty girl giving him her number. Even if it was just written over his arm with a bright blue marker, and she even showed him her favorite place! Even if that is just and old broken down park- It was her favorite place! So that has to be some sort of relationship starting action.

Sero couldn't help the pep in his step as he strode back to the UA dorms a large grin stretched over his face. He happily bounced up the front steps of the class 1-A's dorms, and strode into the building his spirits soaring high.

"Dude, what's with you?" It was Kaminari's voice that broke into this boys happy thoughts and he shifted his gaze to the blonde

"I dunno just getting a girls number." Sero said pridefully

"Dude really!?" Kaminari grinned at him

"Yep!" Sero grinned rolling up his sleeve revealing the neat, but slightly smudged handwriting scribbled over his arm, "She wrote it right here!"

His blonde friend laughed happily and grabbed his arm, "That's awesome you lucky son-of -a-gun!"

Sero puffed his chest out pridefully his grin never fading. Their conversation had drew the attention of the other straggling members of their class were soon drew in by the excitement of the two boys.

So soon enough Sero was sat on the couch holding his phone with his class mates around him fretting over what he should send to this girl. He bit into his knuckle as he bounced his slightly as he stared at the blank text bar as many suggestions were popped up and brain stormed by his friends.

"Maybe ask her about her day?" Momo suggested

"I was just with her.." Sero mumbled softly

"Ask her for nud-" Mineta's suggestion was promptly silenced with a hit on the head

Sero heaved a hard sigh, "Can't I ask her when she wants to hang out next?"

"No! Girls don't like it when you're too forward!" Mina protested loudly, "Just play it cool and send her a friendly message."

Sero sighed and heaved a sigh and tapped his phone against his head thinking all too hard about this. Eventually he and his class mates eventually managed to compose a simple text.

'Hey! I hope your night's going good I had fun today. Hope to see you again soon!'

Soon the dreadful three dots dancing just at the bottom of his screen meaning that his message was received and a reply was being written. It was a tense and excited few minutes with many of his classmates leaning over his shoulders happily awaiting the reply. Sero swallowed thickly tapping his screen a little when it dimmed into inactivity. They all perked when the screen flashed for a moment and a new message popped up below his.

'?... Thanks? But who is this?'

Everyone was silent for a moment be for loud laughter rang out from the teens. Sero covered his face to try to hide the red coloration growing over his face. Kaminari swung his arms around his friends shoulders as he wheezed absolutely out of breath.

"I-it only makes sense dude! You still have to tell the girl i-its you!" The blonde laughed loudly

Sero ran his hands down his face sighing, "J-just shuttup..." He mumbled as he lowered his head into his shoulders and typed out a quick reply

'Sorry- It's me Sero Hanta, tape boy?'

'Oh! Sero! Sorry, silly me... You're the only person I've given my number too recently lol.'

'Nah it's okay lol... I should have told you it was me... So wyd?'

'Homework atm, u?'

Sero smiled a little at the casual simple conversation that this has become, and it made the familiar flutter in his heart as just a few hours ago begin again. It was a lovely feeling and he didn't quite know it just yet.
