Chapter 2; Plain, to put it Simply

You were overjoyed when you got a new sweet from the ruined one that you had dropped. Sero was your plain snack hero. You walked out of the shop with him laughing softly.

"Thank you Sero-kun." You smiled taking a bite out of the frozen delight 

"It's no problem, really. I made you drop your snack it's only right I replace it." He gave you a friendly grin, "It's the polite thing to do for a cute girl."

You snorted a little and laughed, "So if I was a guy you wouldn't have bought me a new snack?"

"I- Well-" He seemed a little caught off guard by the question, his thoughts got all flustered by the it, "Yes? No-?"

You got a kick out of this laughing happily, "It's fine I get it." You chuckled giving him a large grin, "You don't swing much that way."

He chuckled softly cheeks flushed a soft pink shade, "Heh.. Yeah I guess." He rubbed the back of his neck 

You had to admit to yourself, he was quite a cute guy. You usually don't get much attention from guys, usually because they are scared off by either your presence or someone around you presence. You also usually kept yourself away from boy situation, instead focusing more on your studies. But he was different, you found yourself wanting to hang around him more. It was a nice change of pace, a stark contrast from the cold isolated environment you usually found yourself in.

"So are you new around here? I haven't seen you around here much." Sero asked with a smile 

"I'm not exactly new, I just haven't been here in quite a long time. With school and all I can't really find the time to study and hang out around town." You smiled taking another bite of the cold sweet 

"Yeah that makes sense," He chuckled rubbing the back of his head again, "In fact I probably should be studying too." He sighed slouching his shoulders, "It's just so boring and hard-" He groaned 

You laughed at him smiling at his action. It was a universal student feeling, dreading doing all of the homework, especially when it is extra rigorous like the course homework you had in your chosen classes. 

"I understand the feeling, some of the new content can be rough." You chuckled taking another bite of the sweet, "But know it means that it's helping you get one step closer to your dream- whatever that may be." You chuckled smiling 

"Oh! I want to be a hero!" He laughed stamping a foot down against the ground and placing a fist over his chest in a straight stance, "I want to be one of the best!" He flashed that wide grin he wore quite well 

"I could see it." You snickered giving the boy an up and down. He was very plain, no really defining features, excluding the odd structure of his elbows

"Really?" He beamed grin widening 

"Yeah, maybe top ten one day." You chuckled, "That is if you don't give up with the workload of homework." You smiled 

He gave a roll of his eyes but his smile didn't fade, "If it means top ten heroes then I don't mind a little extra home work."

"That's the spirit!" You laughed
