Chapter 1

That night (y/n) couldn't sleep... she regret going out for that walk with Lexi.. The girl seemed rather bipolar and made her feel uncomfortable about staying in the town.. She sat on the balcony and cradled her head in her hands staring out at the night sky, she had prepared the kettle and started boiling tea in hopes it would help her to finally get an opportunity to relax,

She was soon alerted by the hiss of the kettle and strode over, pouring out the water. She placed a green tea bag in her mug and sipped the tea, placing down the mug... she sighed.. no matter what, she promised she would make this week worthwhile for herself... though her peace was quickly disturbed when she heard the sounds of a truck nearby, trucks were normal so she figured this it was nothing serious, although in such a small deserted town.. it felt.. wrong, an ear piercing noise soon came from the truck and she quickly clamped her hands over her ears

It wasn't the sound of the engine that bothered her, was the sound of inhumane screeching, it sounded like something was being bashed around in a box

Holy shit, had someone been kidnapped?

She rushed towards the door and stepped outside to see what the cause of the ruckus was, surprised it hadn't alerted her sleeping mother... she then saw the truck pull up to the laboratory, the laboratory that Lexi confirmed was abandoned....

'Mind your business (y/n).... this doesn't involve you'

She repeated to herself, but her curiosity was slowly getting the best of her... she knew she wasn't going to be able to convince herself to stay put, so she started to sneak over to the laboratory, it wasn't too hard for her to hide since it was so dark out, but she took extra precaution, and hid inside one of the bushes near the large fence protecting the 'abandoned' building.

She glanced over at the truck. The driver had left the vehicle and made his way towards the back of the truck, pulling out a large box...

The box seemed to shake and squirm, multiple screeching noises escaping it... the same screeching she heard before, she covered her ears again, letting out a hiss, what the hell was that thing?

She could hear muffled sounds near the truck, there stood a group of men dressed like lab workers, talking to the truck driver... she heard something about a switch in location for the sake of migrational testing and how the change in setting would make their  'experiments easier for the time being'

She didn't really understand what they were talking about... She figured she'd need to get closer to figure out what the hell was going on

She rustled around  in the bushes, finally spotting a place in the fence with a small hole in it, likely gone unnoticed because of the bush covering it. She tried placing herself through the hole as discreetly as possible..

She placed a single arm through, followed by her leg, and soon her-

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

She felt an extreme wave of pain wash through her whole body followed by the burning of flesh on her left arm... the fence had gave her an electric shock. It was an electric fucking fence! This of course caused a scream to escape her lips and she fell back- covering her mouth with her hand to try and muffle the sound, though she figured it was probably too late

"Hey, dumbass"

(y/n) heard from behind her,... oh no- she'd been caught!

Only, instead of running into a security guard or scientist, she was surprised to see Lexi

"Oh my god Lexi you scared me- You're not gonna believe this- but I don't think this place is abandoned it-"

"Geez- I know it's not abandoned! Have you seriously not caught on yet?"
