Natsu's POV
Natsu woke up in a very uncomfortable position, he groaned, something jabbing his stomach and the rest of him limp. He opened his eyes to Gajeel carrying him and having a silent conversation with Lucy. His eyelids grew heavy once again, he didn't care so he welcomed rest even if it was appallingly uncomfortable.
When he opened his eyes again he was on a couch, Lucy's couch. He felt sick, the unpleasant feeling in his throat and stomach. He ran to the bathroom and crouched by the toilet, he sat there for about 5 minutes. Nothing came, this was torture just get it over with! It never came. He felt dead, he needed proof he was human, proof. The proof is blood if Natsu can still bleed like a human, then he is human.
He can still be normal right? He used the wall as balance, he was still dizzy. Once his nausea went away he let go of the wall and walked to the kitchen. He had to be quick and quiet, just in case. He looked at his arm which he expected to be covered in scars from yesterday but instead saw bandages with splotches of red.
They knew. Of course, they did. He had found a suitable knife in the dark kitchen and was about to unravel his bandages to check if he really was human. "What are you doing!?" His heart jumped, and the knife clattered the floor. Natsu didn't answer her, not daring to turn around. A wave of dread washed over him, he was frozen in place, caught red-handed. Literally.
Lucy's nearing footsteps were the only noise in the dead kitchen. Lucy grabbed his shoulder just above where the bandages end. "Hey, what's going on with you?" Her voice was much gentler than before. Natsu closed his eyes to avoid hers. "What do you want me to do?!"Lucy yelled, her grip tightened, he creased his eyebrows. What was he supposed to say?
Because he wasn't human? He couldn't tell her that. "It's too stupid." Lucy closed her eyes. He finally looked at her, she looked tired. This situation was what he'd been trying to avoid. Thankfully it seemed E.N.D didn't like the cutting, he probably left while he was sleeping. She finally opened her eyes and they made eye contact, Natsu flinched and looked back down.
Lucy sighed and embraced him, she was trembling. He then heard small sobs. He did this. He wasn't human. He wasn't crying with her. "What happened? Why did you do that!?" He did that to reassure himself and everybody else that he was human, how on Earth does he tell anyone that? "I'm sorry." He whispered.
"I said why!" Her yell muffled in his shirt. "It's too complicated!" He finally raised his voice. She pulled away and looked at him. She looked betrayed, and angry. At him. What does he do?! "I-I" he sputtered. She expectantly eyed him. "I've got to go home," he tried to run out of the kitchen she'd cornered him into. Lucy whipped around and practically crushed his arm in her grip. Once she let go of him, Natsu immediately crippled to the floor.
A/N Welp I know I posted yesterday, but I was just SO excited to write this chapter,(Don't ask me why idk either.) I'll be posting at random because I honestly cannot handle being under any time limit or stress at all. If I said, "I'm going to be productive and write/post this tomorrow!" I would freak out end up doing nothing, so I'm sticking to what I've been doing. see ya!

RomansaNatsu is quite troubled that he's E.N.D and he thinks if he fights it long enough it will just go away. But that's not the case and Is E.N.D really to blame? WARNING: self-harm/blood. I do not own Fairytail or its characters Hiro Mashima does.
