Chapter 5

Later that day, in the Bayshore Women's Club, Jimin blushed, standing on the auction block as if he was the item up for auction. He held his hands aloft, fingers still ensnared in the ancient finger trap. On the stage beside him, Judge Lee acted as the event's auctioneer.

"... encrusted with rubies, and fifteen emerald chips. It was donated by Soobin and Yeonjun Addams" He said while Yeonjun and Soobin sat with their family and looked around modestly "Remember, the money we raise will go to help those less fortunate. This year, over half our proceeds will benefit the elderly and the mentally disabled. I open the bidding at five thousand dollars"

"Bah! Not enough! Twenty thousand!" Yeonjun said as he thrust up his arm, surprising Judge Lee and confusing Jimin

"What are they doing? It's theirs" Jimin said before Judge Lee gave him a look that said 'shut up'

Meanwhile, Huening Kai had a peashooter in his mouth, aimed at Judge Lee. Taehyun glared at his brother, and held out his hand for Kai to sheepishly pass him the peashooter.

"I have twenty-"

"Twenty-five!" Yeonjun interrupted the judge and looked at Soobin with a big grin "Caro mio..."

"Thirty..." Soobin said bashfully raising his hand as he looked at Yeonjun with desire "Mon sauvage..."

Right then, Taehyun had the peashooter in his mouth, aimed at Judge Lee, but Jin gave him a stern look, to which Taehyun sheepishly handed him the peashooter.

"Thirty-five!" Yeonjun exclaimed as their bidding continued "Eres divino!"

"Fifty!" Soobin exclaimed raising his arm while Yeonjun kissed his other one passionately

"I have fifty thousand dollars..." Judge Lee said breathlessly

"Your turn, my ecstacy" Soobin whispered, his face close to Yeonjun's

"It's yours, amore mio" Yeonjun whispered back

"You spoil me... mon amour" Soobin said triggering Yeonjun, who uttered a little cry of wild passion before making out with Soobin, as if no one was even watching them

And with that, the Judge hit the table with the hammer "Sold to Soobin Addams for fifty thousand dollars!" He said as he shook his head in disgust.

But as he did so, a projectile hit his neck making him yelp and grab his neck. It was Jin who scored the hit on Judge Lee, sharing afterwards a conspirational smile with his grandsons.

In the big black car, on the way back home, Taehyung had his fingers trapped in the finger trap, Soobin was sitting on his side while Yeonjun on the other, Taehyun a bit sleepy on his knees

"Isn't it too enchanting?" Soobin asked looking at the finger trap

"How do you take it off?" Taehyung asked, the other three members of the Addams family looking at him in shock

"There's a trick to it of course..." Soobin said as he released it from his fingers, Yeonjun sharing a look with Taehyun.

Once they were all in the house, in the dining room, Yeonjun's elaborate model train layout filled the room. The lionel train raced through the remains of a strip mined mountain terrace, While Thing galloped around one of the mountains and paced back and forth in front of his transformers

"-How do you take it off?- That's absurd! That finger trap was a party favor at his tenth birthday!" He ranted to thing as he demonically started his second train, setting it on a sure collision course with the first

Preparing to go to the vault in his room, Taehyung, with cool professionalism, slipped his safe-cracking tools into the bandoliers strapped across his chest, reaching into the drawer for the nitro-glycerine.
