The only exception

Chapter three

Emily's POV

It's been about a week since I moved to rosewood.

It's been pretty awesome. Alison has kind of accepted me in her group and believe it or not, in just a few days we've all gotten pretty close. I feel like I've known all of the girls for years.

Especially Alison. I feel some sort of connection with her. I really don't know what it is. She's been nicer to me than anyone else.

Today's Friday and Ali invited me and all the girls to my first sleepover with them. It's going to be so much fun. I'm excited.

The bell just rang signaling school was out. I made my way to my locker as I always do, and put all my books and such in it.

As I was putting my history book in my locker, some one came behind me and tazed me at my sides. I jumped and turned around to see Ali.

I smiled.

"What was that for?" I asked giggling.

"For fun. And I want you to come over before all the others." Ali stated smiling.

"Um.." I began as I shoved another book into my locker.

"When?" I finished turning around to face her.

"Right now." She said.

"Yeah...okay." I said slamming my locker shut.

We started to walk down the hallway when we were stopped.

"Hey Ali. Who's your friend there?" The person who stopped us asked.

Ali groaned. "Noel go away."

"Hey I'm just trying to be friendly." I noticed he has a really cocky attitude.

Ali glared at him and grabbed me by the arm walking away.

"Who was that?" I asked her.

"That was Noel khan" she said rolling her eyes.

"What's so bad about him?" I asked.

"He only wants to sleep with you that's why he asked who you were." She stated.

"How do you know?" I asked as we finally made it out of the building.

"He tries to hook up with every single girl in the school. No joke. And plus your good looking so thats another good reason." She stated.

I blushed. Even though she probably tells everybody that it still made me feel special.

She noticed me bushing, and smiled.

Shortly after, we made it to her house.

As we walked in the door, I noticed that nobody was home again. I didn't know if I should ask her why no one was ever home or if that was a sensitive topic.
I decided against it. It was really none of my business.
"Hey Emily!" Ali called from the kitchen. "Come here."
I slowly made my way to the kitchen.

"Don't be shy" she called.

I walked in and she was leaning on the counter.

"What's up?" I asked moving closer to her.

She shrugged. " I don't know I just wanted you in here with me."

"Oh okay." I said sitting down at the table.

"So," she began as she moved away from the counter and sat next to me. "How do you like Rosewood so far?" She asked.

"I like it. To be honest I didn't really expect to." I replied.
