<Johnny Cade's P.O.V.>
I walked out of Ponyboy's room, which was empty. I fell asleep there, I knew my parents were gonna kick my head in, but I could stay a little while longer, Just for Ponyboy...I Blushed at the thought of him.
I heard a humming sound coming from the kitchen, I wasn't hungry, but the smell of Darry's cooked breakfast made me hungry, Darry wasn't the best person, But his food was great, at least to me. I walked into the kitchen, the humming sound coming from Ponyboy, He was singing my favorite song, I don't think he knew it was my favorite, but he sure was making me blush more than I should have.
"Hey Johnny, Want anythin'?" Darry asked. I shook my head out of my Daydream-like state, I was thinking of Pony, my blushing face went back to it normal color. "N-No I'm alright... thanks..." I stuttered. "come on Johnny, you have to be after all the Cryin' and Runnin' you've done!" Pony laughed a little when he said this. "y-yeah, I guess your right..." Darry slid a plate of food A seat down from Ponyboy, I moved the plate next to him and sat down. "Oh Shit...Okay you two, I Gotta go, If y'all need anythin' you go to Two-Bit or Dallas" Darry said as he looked at the time. "alright" Pony said and I just nodded, Darry opened the front door and left.
I leaned on Ponyboy's shoulder and closed my eyes. "Were you hummin' a Frank Sinatra song earlier..?" I asked him quietly. "yeah!" I could tell he looked at me and smiled. "How'd you know?" He asked as I opened my eyes to see him. "That's my favorite song" I smiled and closed my eyes once again. "You like Frank Sinatra?" He asked me "mhmm..." I mumbled and Sighed a bit. Pony could tell I was kinda upset, So he started him the song again. I mumbled the Lyrics A Little, and We Both had the same idea so we Screamed The Lyrics. We looked at each other and sung "In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby, kiss me" Very quietly and We both looked away and Blushed. We both wanted to Kiss each other...It was Obvious...
