A NightMares Love (Zeldris x reader x Meliodas) Final part

Five years had past, Zeldris, Meliodas, and Merlin had been searching for a way to bring you back. The sins and commandments were all living in the same castle in Camelot, they still had the occasional fight but they had been helping look for a way to bring you back as well. The commandments all knew you and missed you, the sins didn't know you as well but they still missed you despite only knowing you a little. Elizabeth's heart still hurt, now that she remembered everything, she knew she owed you this to bring you back. It was you who actually hooked her up with Meliodas in the beginning and now she knows how you suffered all those years of thinking they were dead, Meliodas especially. He can't even look at your body anymore, it makes him hurt awful to see you laying there dead. You his best friend who killed his father and broke the curse on him and Elizabeth just like you promised and that got you killed. He blames himself though he'd never admit it... out loud anyway.

Zeldris hasn't smiled or let his green eyes show since the last time he saw you alive, he's always in pain. He longs to see your smile, to see your shining eyes and to hear your voice. He visits you every night to kiss your cheek good night and to tell you of how close he is to bring you back and sometimes he falls asleep holding your hand. He's a good king, he rules just like you knew he would, with and iron fist but with the pure heart you could always see. Zeldris never takes off the necklace you wanted him to have, it reminds him to do the right thing and it keeps you close to him all the time. He now sits in the room he had made up for you, and he holds your lifeless hand as you lay in the bed as if you were asleep.

He remembers when he walked in the front doors of the castle you'd busted down just the day before but instead of you walking with him cheerfully, he's carrying your lifeless body. He doesn't care that the tears still run down his face and he ignores the shocked and painful looks that come from Drole and Gloxinia, and the shocked ones from Monspeet and Derriere. He walks straight to the room he had made for you and lays you down gently and he yells for Galand who he hears walking down the hallway to get Gloxinia. Zeldris ignores Glalands gasp upon seeing his drinking buddy and old friend laying there dead in front of his broken leader. Gloxinia healed your wound and Zeldris dismisses him telling him to gather everyone because he has an important announcement.

He remembers telling his team that the demon king was dead and that he was now the demon king. He told them of how you sacrificed your life to do so, and that the sins were to come to the castle in a day or two to help find a way to bring you back. They were all shocked but they all nod and bow on their knee with heavy hearts and tears in their eyes upon hearing the loss of you. From that point on the sins and commandments dismissed their differences and poured their hearts and souls into bring you back. "Lord Zeldris dinner is to be served soon." A servant says to Zeldris snapping him from his thoughts. "I'll be down soon, Your dismissed." He says monotone not looking to the servant because of the tears running down his face as he stares at you.

Once the door closes he brushes a few loose strands of hair from your face, "No matter how many years it's been it still hurts all the same. I miss you..." he says as he stands wiping the tears from his cheeks and eyes as he kisses your forehead, "I love you." He whispers as his lips brush your forehead before he kisses it once again and walks out of the room.

He makes it to the end of the hallway stopping at a large door, he hears the commandments and sins yelling and laughing at the dinner table behind the doors. He grabs the necklace and closes his eyes taking a deep breath before opening the door and walking to his seat at the end of the table beside his brothers. "There you are brother!" Meliodas yells cheerfully from beside Elizabeth who only waves. "Good evening brother, I hope your hungry." Estarossa says with a grin actually happy to see his brother.

After the demon kings soul was demolished Estarossa came too and said that the demon king literally jumped his bones. Dinner was brought out and served to everyone, Zeldris then looks up at Meliodas, "Where's Merlin?" He asks monotone but genuinely confused. Meliodas pauses mid bite, "Oh yeah! She said she was on to something and to go ahead and eat. She'll be here shortly." He says as he digs in to his meal that Ban and Estarossa prepared.
