It's been three days since the gang got back to the tavern. Elizabeth had been captured by Zeldris and the commandments driving Meliodas to be forced to rescued her. He was led right into a trap blinded by his heart, it put him into a death like sleep. A curse Merlin had been working restlessly on, the curse that now is eating at Meliodas' soul as he slips farther into his eternal sleep. She had tried everything she could think of, in all her years she had never seen anything like this. She sighs heavily at another failed counter spell as she angrily dismissed her spell book.
Elizabeth looks up at Merlin from beside her sleeping Meliodas, "Is there any thing else we can do?" She asks with a soft voice that threatens to break with guilt and fear. Merlin turns to the princess, "This curse will inevitably destroy his soul. There nothing I can do to stop it or slow it down." Merlin tells the princess, Elizabeth whimpers before she grabs Meliodas' limp hand and holds it to her cheek as a few tears slip down her face. Merlins golden eyes look down on her captain and long time friend before her eyes fall on his beast symbol.
The red dragon etched into his shoulders skin reminds her of something, her eyes widen as it clicks in her mind. "That's it!" Merlin practically shouts making the crying princess jump startled. "W-What is it lady Merlin? Did you find a cure for Sir Meliodas?" She asks with hope returning to her blue eyes. Merlin sighs, "No but some one might know one... but she will be difficult to persuade." Merlin says remembering the one person who could possibly save Meliodas.
Elizabeth stands, "Difficult or not she has to try! Sir Meliodas need her too!" Elizabeth practically yells and Merlin nods. "I agree but... hm no matter we have to take the risk." Merlin states determined. Elizabeth looks down, "What is her name?" Elizabeth asks as she grabs his hand again and Merlin sighs. "Her name is (Y/n) the dragon queen. And she is more powerful than even me." Merlin says and Elizabeth looks down at her hand intertwined with Meliodas'. "Please Merlin it's his last chance..." the princess says as she lightly grips the hand one the one she loves. "I must go summon her in order to speak with her. I will give it my best shot Princess. I give you my word." Merlin says as she goes to float down stairs, she hesitates for a second but opens the door anyway when she hears the Elizabeth's sniffling.
Merlin sighs as she rounds the bottom of the stairs to pass the bar. "How's the cap'tn?" Ban asks from behind the bar his arms crossed. Merlin looks down, "Elizabeth is watching over him." She answers as she thinks of all the ingredients needed to summon the dragon queen. "Have you found anything to help him Merlin...?" Diane asks from the other side of the room beside a floating King.
Merlin's golden eyes look to the corner where they were, "No but I know someone who might, but I'll need some ingredients to summon her." Merlin says. "Can we be of any help lady Merlin?" Escanor asks as he walks out of the kitchen with Gowther. "Yes, gathering the Ingredients should make the process faster, then after make yourselves busy else where. If she shows, she might not react well to others." Merlin says looking back to Ban who nods. "Name what you need and we'll do the rest." Ban says as Diane and King walk over ready to help Merlin in any way to get their captain back.
