Chapter 11

NATALIA

I release a long breath before I unlock the front door. I step in, and smell an amazing aroma. My interest peaked, i steadily walk towards the kitchen and see Antonio in his work clothes. His blazer hung on the chair, his shirt sleeves rolled up to his forearm, the first two buttons undone with his hair tousled and messy. A towel is draped over his shoulder and I lean against the wall smirking as I watch him moving around with ease. I slowly and quietly walk up behind him, and gently wrap my arms around his waist from the back. I inhale his scent and sigh. He chuckles and turns around. His arms hang loosely around me.

"Well hello there" he smirks down at me as he pecks my nose. I chuckle softly. I look up at him and smile. This is the man I love. He is the one that make my heart do crazy things. He is the one I'm crazy about. One I can't live without.

"Hello, what are you making?" I ask him as I peer over his shoulder. He blocks my view however and I pout.

"Nope, you'll see at dinner" which reminds me of what I need to ask him.

"Okay then." I kiss his lips and soon it turns passionate. Before it could go further, I pull away.

"No, I need more" he moans and I laugh, pulling away.

"I need to speak with you. It's urgent" he raises an eyebrow and stares at me with peculiarity.

"Okay, proceed" we take a seat opposite each other at the dining table. I sigh and fiddle with my fingers.

"So, Dalia and Fabian are going to Wales-"

"No" he stands up and walks over to the stove and starts stirring. I frown but stay seated.

"No?" I question, wondering if I heard correct.

"Yes no" he turns around and leans against the table next to the stove, seeming surprisingly calm.

"You don't know what I was going to ask you" I say as smoothly as possible. I don't want to anger him. He sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. I stand up and walk over to him and wrap my arms around him. "Look, Fabian's dad died before he came here. His body is being released tomorrow and they need to leave tonight. What I'm saying is-"

"I know what you're saying. But I don't trust him" I lean my forehead against his chest.

"I love you Antonio. No one else" I hug him tighter to me. He sighs and I think he's giving in. "I don't want anyone else but you." I look up to his eyes and show him how sincere I am. "He needs us. As his friends. I know it's weird because we dated, but I'm an engaged woman. I don't want a repeat of history. I want to move forward, to my future and that's with you. You are my future." I assure him. He sighs and looks at me and sadly smiles.

"How long are you going to be gone?" I smile.

"I'm not sure. But I'll call you everyday and night. I tell you I love you every morning when you wake up and every night when you sleep so you'll only think of me and nothing else. I want you to trust me"

"I- I do" he tells me but I catch the falter in his voice.

"Do you?"

"I-I don't know. Can I?"

"Yes. And I'll prove it to you" I smirk and lean up and kiss him. He kisses me back with twice the passion. I'm ready to take it further until he pushes me away gently.

"The food will burn." He says and I walk over to the stove, turn the gas dialler off and smile at him innocently.

"Not anymore" I tell him and he chuckles.
