The normal sounds of the monsters take over the night. I grab the vines and begin to the climb the wall, just like any other night. I can only get like one hundred feet up, but it still works as a great defense.
I wrap the vines around me, making me blend into the dull walls. I've learned how to hide pretty well. But the first night I was here was a complete nightmare. The slimy monsters almost killed me. But, back in my old life I must've been an Olympic athlete, because I was running at the speed of a cheetah.
A monster comes my way, and I press my back closer to the wall. I wish I could climb higher, I wish I could climb over the walls, but these things are thousands of feet up and I'm just a teenage girl.
I then hear a bloodcurdling scream. I jump a little from the shock, but I am still gripping onto the vines for my life. The monster that was currently roaming around me, turns it's hideous face in the direction of the scream, and runs over that way.
Who the hell is here in the maze? It can't just be my imagination, if I was the monster wouldn't have run towards it.
I slowly climb down the wall, still blending in with the moss and vines. I quietly hit the ground, but any noise I made was drowned out by another scream along with the monsters.
I sling my backpack over my shoulder and begin to run. I'm so stupid for doing this. What am I doing? Why am I doing this?
My thoughts are cut off by yet another scream. I quickly sprint towards the sound, not wasting a second. I pass a monster who doesn't seem to notice me, thank God. I continue to run as I hear more cries. Then I come to a stop.
A giant monster is standing above me, the glow of the moon reflecting off of the spikes sticking out of it's slimy skin.
The purple-green like goo drips from it. Why am I just standing here?
I begin to sprint the other way. Damn it, I should've just stayed hidden in the vines instead of searching for this person who is in the maze.
I hear the monster behind me. It's like the first day here all over again. I run as quickly as I can and slide next to a wall and start to climb the vines.
But, of course, I can't do this all perfectly without any conflict. Something always has to change it up, because that's what the Creators do. The walls begin to move.
"Damn it," I mutter as I try to climb the moving walls of steel.
I then hear one last scream, a scream that sounds like death. Now's not the time investigate. Tomorrow, I tell myself, I'll check this out tomorrow.
I slide the vines around me and hope for the best. I know these monsters can climb walls, but right now I'm playing it doesn't. But I don't even see it. Maybe it got confused and went the other way. Not that I'm complaining.
