It all started with a proposal

"hey future wife." I whispered to Annabeth as I kissed her. Today was the day that we were going to travel to meet up with our parents all together. My dad and Annabeth's mum don't get along, like at all. They have hated each other since the day they met, which was a really long time ago since they are immortal gods and all that! My mum hasn't seen my dad in forever and I just hope there won't be any tension, especially since my stepdad is coming as well. Annabeth's step mum is not coming because she has never liked Annabeth, and she is the main reason that Annabeth ran away.

"Hey future husband!" she yawned as she rolled over.

"Are you ready for the trip today?"

"No."

"Come on baby."

"No."

"But we are going to tell our parents that we are engaged!"

"Yes we are.Do you know how much more my mum is going to blame you for stuff now? What if your dad decides t....." I kissed her to shut her up before she had time to finish. Of course I love her otherwise I wouldn't have proposed, but sometimes I wish she would just shut up and think on the positive side. Whats the worst that could happen? Our parents would kill each other? Or maybe Athena will kill me? Either way, everyone knew it was coming!

*After eventually getting Annabeth out if bed*

Annabeth is usually a morning person but last night was our first night living together. Two people of different genders from different cabins are not usually allowed to be in the same cabin together, but Chiron has let us. He is even thinking about letting her build our own cabin when Tyson gets back.

After we had breakfast and Annabeth had her hour long shower we were set to go. It was quite a long drive since our parents didn't want to meet too close to Olympus for some reason

, I decided not to drive, so we got a taxi.

The drive was about 6 hours long, but it was nice just taking in the views.

Everything was all ready destroyed by the time we got there. I really was fearing my life!

"Percy. What took you so long."I heard a voice yell. Athena.

I know better than to argue with a god."Sorry Athena. I should have been more conscious of the time."

"Mother. You can't just accuse Percy like that. It was my fault anyway. I didn't want to come because you always do this." Annabeth yelled. She is so pretty when she was mad. She's always pretty!

"How dare you....make my daughter come Percy." Did she not hear anything that Annabeth just said! I mean, COME ON!

"MUM! Honestly I just want to leave."

"Hang on sweety." My mum said. Thank the gods she was here. She was the only one that Athena or Annabeth would actually listen to.

"Percy and I are engaged. There. We've told you the news. Now can we go Percy?"

"WHAT!!!" Everyone said in unison. I felt my face grow red with embarrassment as Athena's grew red with anger.

"I never gave you my blessing." Said Athena.

"Why should you be the one to give the blessing. I'm her father."

"You did a great job carrying her for nine months and then giving birth to her!"

"Oh. So you want to play the the blame game. Well two can play at that."

Athena was right. Why did I force Annabeth to go. Did I forget I had to go with?

Whilst Annabeth and her parents were having a full on fist fight, I decided to go and speak to my,pretty, normal family. They all congratulated me on it but my mum thought that maybe I was too young and that I would regret it in the future. I promised her that I loved Annabeth more than anyone and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. She smiled and gave me a giant hug.

After a long drive home, I decided to chill out and have a shower, but Annabeth had other plans she pushed me on to the sofa and turned on a movie. In the taxi, she had been acting as if she hated me for something, but now.

"Annabeth, wait." I said trying to get up."What's going on. One minuet you hate me and the next you are all over me. Why?"

"Percy. I know it's hard getting along with my mum but you two are like peas in a pod."

"WHAAAAA. Annabeth, she HATES ME"

"No she doesn't. she says so many nice things about you, and she is always asking when she is going to see you again, and when you were going to propose, She loves you Percy. She couldn't have hoped for me to end up with a better person."

"Then why does she always shift the blame on to me?"

"Because that's what familys do Percy. They squabble all the time, because they love each other."

"Then we should fight all the time, because I love you so much!"

"Do you love me with all your butt?"

" Of course I do!"

I can't believe I ended up with a girl like Annabeth.
