Time seemed to stop as the boys looked at each other in horror. The lights stopped flickering and the atmosphere was back to the hotel-like temperature. None of them spoke after what happened.
Ashton placed the keys carefully back to the place it belong. They silently watched the show with the same thoughts running through their minds.
on the other hand...
Luke sighed irritably. He plopped himself up the squishy bed. The boy managed to let out a groan by the fact that he still hadn't foynd Calum. For a moment, he closed his eyes. Draining all the anger and annoyance for the missing or hiding boy.
He heard a knock on the door.
Luke stood up and lazily caught himself walking towards the door. His hand grabbed the doorknob, twisting it along with the door opening revealing a sweaty and panting Calum.
"Calum! Where have you been?! I've been looking for you since," he stopped to look at his watch, "almost twenty minutes!"
The black-haired boy sighed deeply, "I went out for a walk, sorry."
"Forget that, just go ahead and eat breakfast." Luke snapped.
"Come on, I already said sorry, right? You shouldn't be taking things too much." Luke was taken aback by the boy's sudden attitude yet he just shrugged it off.
"I was just worried, you know?"
"Shut the crap."
"You are gone without even telling one of us! What do you expect!" The taller lad shot back.
"I'm not interested about what you are saying, just move out of the way and let me take a bath."
Calum moved Luke out of the way and proceeded to the bathroom. He had never seen Calum throw a tantrum before. He's usually goofy, jolly and a happy-go-lucky boy.
Closing the door, he went to the living room and spotted Ashton and Michael watching some show on the television. The three of them watched happily, Luke forgetting the scene with Calum earlier.
Until Michael had to bring up that question.
"So, have you seen Calum?"
Luke narrowed his eyes, "Calum told me he went for a walk."
"Ah, so he called your phone?" Ashton asked, eyes focused on the television screen.
"What's with you guys?" Luke interrogated, "He's taking a bath now, probably changing. Didn't you notice him get inside the room?"
But the two lads were sure that they didn't see Calum a single bit. For the mood of Luke's sake, they decided to play along.
"I guess, we didn't notice him, right Mikey? Michael?" The older boy waved his hand infront of Michael's face.
Michael snapped out of his daze, "Oh. Uhm. Yeah. Maybe. Right... absolutely right."
Luke wondered for a moment. If it's either the boys really didn't see Calum come back, or if they are just playing a sick game. He chose to get along with the second one.
"Well, let's just wait until Calum was done, then? You said he's taking a bath, right?" Ashton asked Luke, to which he nodded.
Later, a loud banging was heard from the main door of the hotel room. The noisy sound came to an end when a figure came bustling into the room.
"Sorry for the wait, guys! But I brought pizza!" A cheery lad exclaimed, holding a box of pizza in hand.
"Calum?"
