I got off later than expected. I thought my hours was from 4-10 today since it's a weekday and people don't really be in there but luckily my other job didn't call me in because I didn't leave this one until fucking 2 in the morning.
I mean I thank them for the hours but sheesh.
When I pulled up to Stokeley's house I seen Jahseh's car again making me sigh but I wasn't mad, I don't care as long as he doesn't try and keep conversation.
I smelled like sweat and old fast food as I walked up to Stokeley's door, lightly knocking but he still opened the door for me, rubbing his eyes.
"She's in there with Jahseh, sleep" he told me and I nodded and walked upstairs to the room he pointed to.
When I opened the door I seen Jahliyah sleeping peacefully on Jahseh's chest, it was honestly cute.
"You're finally here, she cried so much for you" he told me making me raise an eyebrow.
"Really?" I asked him because it's not like Liyah to do that.
"Yeah once 12 hit she was just over it" he told me and I nodded and picked her up off of him.
"How was your day?" He asked me making me sigh.
"Long and tiring" I told him and he nodded.
"Well you don't have to work, that's your choice" he told me making me raise an eyebrow.
"I do have to work, how else am I going to get my stuff then her stuff and the bills paid if I don't work?" I asked him.
"Because Lucy you could just get money from me" he spoke making me giggle.
"No Jahseh, that would be using you first of all then second you just don't understand how much we cost" I told him shaking my head.
"Let me do everything for one month then we'll see" he told me making me roll my eyes.
"Fine" I told him.
"Okay so starting today until the twelfth of next month I'm paying for all of you guys stuff" he told me making me sigh, thinking about it.
"You really shou-" I started But he cut me off.
"I'm doing it Lucy, call me when y'all need stuff and the bills are due" he told me making me nod.
I sighed, thinking a little before I spoke "why'd you do it?" I asked him making him raise an eyebrow.
"Do what?" He asked me, sitting up.
"Cheat on me with Miya" I answered and his face went blank making me huff.
"Forget I asked" I told him beginning to put Liyah in her car seat but he stopped me.
"I don't have a good explanation for that Lucy I was just being dumb and I didn't think straight at all, I don't know it's something wrong with me" he told me and I nodded, still putting her up.
"Lucy sit down so I can tell you what happened that night" he told me making me turn around and look at him.
I sat down beside him and looked at him, ready for him to talk.
"I know you remember when you were yelling at me about that stupid as phone before it happened but that night I went and met up with Miya in the park because I needed to know how she switched that phone with mine plus I wanted mine" he cut himself off and I nodded telling him to continue even though I already seen where he fucked up at.
It wasn't that deep.
"She told me she wanted me to fuck her in order for her to tell me how she got in our house in the first place and give me my phone back" he cut himself off again, taking a breath.
"And you did it?" I asked still not understanding that part.
He nodded his head "I swear it was only for like 30 seconds and I don't know why I did it, I don't know what was happening really I was just mad about you yelling at me and then her doing that" he told me and I nodded, giggling.
"I thought that you thought she was better than me" I whispered and he shook his head, chuckling.
"No one that I've been with before or after you is better than you, I messed up big Lucy and I'm sorry for that and I know that there is no way for me to make up for that but at least let me try" he told me and I nodded.
"How are you going to make up for that Jahseh?" I asked him and he shrugged.
"I don't want you hating me Lucy, I'll do whatever you want" he told me and I shook my head.
"I don't need anything from you" I told him.
"Besides for you to love your daughter, that's it" I told him and he nodded at me.
"I'm doing the but I want to know what I can give you as just Lucy not as our daughters mom" he told me making me huff.
I shook my head "I don't need anything" I told him again.
"I know you do but it's okay I understand you aren't comfortable with me anymore" he told me, moving my hair behind my ear making me heart speed up and I'm pretty sure my cheeks are red.
I hid my face from him and picked up the car seat with Jahliyah in it.
"Okay we gotta go now" I told him and he nodded.
"Let me give her a kiss" he told me and I sat the car seat in front of him on the bed.
He sat it in his lap and spoke lowly to her before placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Okay now your turn" he smirked at me as he sat the car seat down making me glare at him.
"See you later Jahseh" I smiled at him before picking up the car seat and leaving.
"Later Stokeley" I told him as I walked out the house.
