Chapter 19: Onboard the Aronax

"Umm oxygen levels decreasing rapidly, the canopy of my knight is about to break!" Fontaine said trying to keep calm.

"Ant lockdown the..." Kaiko began before she heard only interference.

"He's closed communications again" Kaiko said banging her hand on the control panel.

An idea popped in her head, she looked under the panels and began pulling on the wires. She pulled out a hand full of wires.

"Are you destroying the rover?" Will asked his eyes widened as he saw the wires in her hand.

"Just help me" Kaiko responded trying to pull out the right one.

"Ant.."Kaiko began over the comm before being replaced by interference.

"What did she say?" Nereus asked.

A loud gushing noise filled the Aronax. Multiples warning came up on screen.

"Oh no, not again" Ant whined as he saw the problem. The tube had pierced through the Aronax's wall just like the Dark Orca.

"Finn?Fontaine?" Ant asked trying their comms to by to no avail.

"Ant" Madeline said trying to get his attention.

"One sec, I'm trying to get communication" Ant replied his attention still outside.

"I wouldn't try Ant" Alpheus said a smirk creeping up his face.

"Alpheus" Ant muttered as he turned around.

"I'll be taking this, thank you very much" Alpheus responded taking the empheychron off the pedestal.

"Hey" Ant exclaimed narrowing his eyes.

Alpheus pressed a button on his suit.

"Woah, Mom" Fontaine exclaimed over her comm.

"Fontaine?" Ant asked over his comm for once pleased to hear her voice.

"Ant..."Fontaine began before interference interrupted again.

"I suggest you cooperate" Alpheus said with a smirk.

Madeline and Nereus glared at him.

"Sorry but I have to go now" Alpheus exclaimed turning his back away.

Ant moved to press the button to lock the door but was interrupted by Alpheus.

"You know i still have control of your vehicles"

Ant moved his away and grumbled as he watched Alpheus get away.

"Ant where are you going?" Madeline said as Ant began running to follow after Alpheus.

"If Alpheus has the empheychron, he could find Lemuria" Ant responded climbing into the Shadow knight quickly. It still hadn't been connected to the Aronax meaning Alpheus could not control it.

He watched as the tube slowly retracted, quickly moving towards it he grabbed onto the tube. He looked down to see Kaiko and Will furiously trying to stop the rover and Fontaine slowly loosing conscious in the mimic knight. The tube retracted as Ant held onto the sub's engines barely holding on as the sun started to move. He glanced over at the Aronax which had started to completely flood. An idea came to him, with his gooper dooper safely stored in the Shadow Knight, he took it out and stuck it in between a propeller massively slowing down their speed. Then with the engines powers mostly gone he began bending the the propellers.

"ARIA take us out of here, full speed" Alpheus said from his seat, Proteus stood there with the empheychron in his hands smiling with pleasure.

"Full speed has been compromised by the actions of Anteus Nekton, I believe it's called gooper dooper has been stuck in between the propeller and has began to bend them" ARIA responded.

"Alpheus get rid of the boy" Proteus demanded.

"I didn't bring you back, to order me around. ARIA help Ant onboard" Alpheus said with a smile.

"Fontaine? How are you doing?" Kaiko asked looking up her daughter who wasn't looking good, there was no response.

"Got it" Will exclaimed as the engines shut down, they were quite away from the Aronax.

"Will quick open the canopy, Fontaine's running out of air.

Will and Kaiko both out their rebreather masks on and filled the rover with water. They opened the canopy and swam to the mimic knight.

The white knight approached quickly, it was badly dented from the rocks.

"Fontaine?" Finn whispered looking at her in the knight.

"The controls Will" Kaiko said.

Will opened up the control panel, and pressed the button to open the canopy of the mimic knight.

"Fontaine take a deep breath, okay I'm going to put the rebreather on you" Kaiko said gently.

She heard a small gasp for air as the canopy opened and Fontaine was ejected out. Kaiko gently caught her daughter's unconscious body and quickly put the rebreather on her mouth, she noticed she flinched as she pushed the rebreather in by force.

"Quickly Finn, take her to the infirmary, we'll catch up to you" Kaiko said handing Fontaine over to Finn.

Finn nodded and used the thrusters to go quickly to the Aronax, but it wasn't as he expected. A giant hole was there just like on the Dark Orca, parts of the Aronax were floating about.

As he boarded the Aronax, the moon pool room was completely flooded. He got out of the knight also putting a rebreather mask on too as he swam to the infirmary. He saw Madeline and Nereus closing the door to the room both had rebreather masks on. They sighed in relief as they saw him. Luckily the door to the infirmary was shut meaning no water got in. Finn quickly opened the door and swam in closing the door behind him quickly.
