Chapter 23:Secrets revealed~1

"How much treasure have we got Danny Boy" Hammerhead asked as they counted every single little piece of treasure they had.

Slowly hey boarded onto the Dark Orca with the Red Claw with all the treasure inside.

"Captain we've managed to get 40 coins from the crates, the others are well damaged" Danny Boy replied holding up an half cut coin sliced exactly in the middle.

"I don't care, I want me children back, find 5 more coins now or you won't get paid!" Hammerhead exclaimed agitated as he stepped out of the Red Claw.

He looked about and was surprised the Dark Orca was I'm better shape than before, most leaks had been patched up.

"Listen Proteus, all I want is to find Lemuria, not control the terror. And it's is best perhaps if you leave thing that things that are best no to be said unsaid!"

"Alpheus you don't understand, there is much more to that Nereus than you think"

Ant listened through the vent which wasn't too far of the ground but still too high for him to reach without jumping, his ear close to the grating as he held on listening in on their argument. It was clear to him they both despised each other just as much.

"Now where is the empheychron?" Alpheus asked tired of arguing.

"The empheychron... I must have left it in bridge"

"Due to your carelessness we might not even find Lemuria"

Ant heard footsteps retrieving into the distance and then another set of footsteps following as they mumbled under their breath. His eyes widened as a creak caught his attention.

The grating began slipping out of its place as Ant held on.

"Ouch!" He exclaimed landing hard onto the ground as the grate clattered onto the floor.

He slowly stood up as he listened to see whether anyone was coming. He glanced up at the now open vent an idea popping in his head.

Jumping from the floor he reached up to get a grip on the vent, to his dismay he just missed it. The distance from his hand and the vent was only a couple of millimetres.

"Come on!" Ant exclaimed quietly to himself as he tried again this time holding onto the vent, his feet centimetres of the ground.

With his practise of hanging upside down to try and grow taller he pulled himself up easily. A smile formed on his face as he started crawling down the vents.

Nereus slowly slipped away from the bridge, everyone else being occupied. He said walked towards the study and walked in as the door opened. A smile appeared as he saw the diary on the desk. Glancing behind him making sure no one was there he opened the book. It all looked familiar, too familiar. He read through the pages in Lemurian, which weren't smudged with ease. The diary looked over at least 6000 years old an intricate designs in the diary he hadn't noticed before.

Opening the scroll he began reading it, seeing if at least in there held some clues. There were some drawings, just some of random vases each with intricate designs of the Nektons family symbol, 3 tentacles surrounded by a circle.

"The.. kraken...... Queen Doreus has sent..." he made our in the diary the smudged letters not letting him form a proper sentence.

Flashbacks began swarming his head as he remembered small parts of him being knocked out. As he returned back to back to reality he saw Will standing in front of the door holding Nereus's cane in his hand as he walked towards him.

"Explain Nereus" Will said handing the cane back to him.

"Explain what-" Nereus asked debating on whether he should act dumb.

"Nereus, you know more than your telling us, especially about your cane. Why did it glow. Not just for me but for Kaiko too" Will said knowing his idea on acting dumb having experience from Kaiko doing the same.

"I... it's just a theory.." Nereus explained trying to give as little information.

"Well then.."

"So your telling me this now, why not before we got the empheychron" Alpheus said in a clam but annoyed tone.

"Because I already have attained one" Proteus replied more calmly holding the empheychron.

"But how.."

"I mean you've already attained one"

"Where is it?" Alpheus asked glancing about the room a creak catching his attention.

Inside the vents Ant was watching and listening carefully to their conversation accidentally moving causing a loud creak.

"It's the same vase you were reluctant to take onboard last month when we found that Lemurian ship near the Mariana Trench." Proteus said

"That old thing, how is that in contdition to help us find Lemuria" Alpheus replied scoffing
